B Mac wrote:Ugly. The only thing good out of this game was that it proved how winnable this game and series can be. If LeBron has even an average game for him we win this one easily. Im still shaking my head over that missed layup by him at the end... Unbelievable. I've never seen a game like this from him, not even against the Spurs last year. What in the world was going on?

This game proves nothing. James is not going to play the bad again in this series just like PP and Allen will not play the badly either. Using your logic If Allen and PP have an avarge game the celtics win easily as well. Last nights game is in no way an indication on how this series will play out either way. C's just make one more play to win this ugly game.

My eyes hurt from watching that game it was so ugly. I can't decide who was worse Ray.Paul or LBJ. My beef is with ray. He looked as though he was hurt and wasn't moving well at all. He only took 4 shots!!! WHY?

At least LBJ and Paul kept on going ot the basket when they saw their jumper wasn't falling.

Good battle, I think both teams played great defense. I'd much rather watch a defensive battle between 2 great teams then an all offense one.

There was a lot of very good defense, but is anyone else convinced that neither of these coaches has any clue about how to make offensive adjustments to counter the defense?!? Keep running the same freaking ineffective plays over and over :banghead:

Playing that pathetically on offense and only losing by 4 is a good sign to me. Boston played so much better than the Cavs and we still had a very legit chance to steal this one. Reminds me of Game 6 vs. the Pistons 2 playoffs ago, and the Cavs built on that to beat the Pistons last year. With this being such a long series and the Celtics still apparently learning how to play in the playoffs, that's a very good thing.
It's not whether you win or lose, it's how good you look playing the game

I know LB didnt play well.....but neither did Pierce or Allen

Doubling on Garnett is not really a smart decision because he passes out of double teams well. If Ben Wallace can't hold his own and at least limit him somewhat, Cleveland is in trouble. One of the reasons why Pierce and Allen had a bad night is because they weren't open all that much for easy buckets.

Yesterdays game notwithstanding, I'd much rather Garnett shooting the ball than just about anyone of the major players on the Celtics. The person that we were having the most problem with (as I thought we would) was actually Rondo, whos ability to get into the lane early caused serious problems for the Cavs

Maybe I was watching a different game, but late when Ben was playing KG 1 on 1 in the post LBJ could have at least faked doubling down on him instead of just standing inside the foul line and watching out of the corner of his eye.

And it seemed that Posey was definitely fouling LeBron as he drove because the Celts had a foul to give. It just wasn't called. But regardless, the Cavs had enough other chances to steal that game and didn't. I think it points to a very interesting series. LeBron plays one of the worst games of his career and we still had a chance to steal it.

Not that it matters, but Posey was actually to grabbing LeBron as he made his move. It seems that it should have been a continuation, but who knows whether they would have called that a shooting foul or not. It's just a daggone shame that LeBron wasn't shooting better (which is odd since he was shooting his free throws pretty well).

Great point. That foul on Posey (had it been called) would have been on the floor giving the Cav's the ball (side out) with about 8 seconds left on the clock. I think the Cav's got the exact look they were going for, Lebron taking it to the hoop strong for a layup. The layup just didn't go in due to Perkin's weak side defense. 8 out of 10 times Lebron makes that layup so Cav's fans shouldn't be too disgruntled. It was a hard fought game on the road where they had a chance to win. That's all you can ask for in playoff basketball.

It would have helped if we would have guarded that f'ing little martian and not let him have three wide open shots.
