I'd like Hakim Warrick better than Thomas or even Travis Outlay in that skinny tweener forward type that's incredibly athletic. At least those guys can shoot it a little.
Tyrus has played 20 minutes or more in only 30 out of the 82 games. Veteran players like Andres Nocioni, Drew Gooden, and Joe Smith all played over him because he, along with 5 other Bulls, told Boylan that they had problems with his ways and couldn't see the light of day after. Wallace had to be dealt to clear time for Noah by the GM because Noah was barely playing after he mouthed off to Boylan as well.
Here are some of the lines that Tyrus had when he played over 20 minutes:
Points/Rebounds/Assists/Steals/Blocks
21/12/2/3 on 10/16 shooting in 43 minutes
6/3/5/2/3 in 20 minutes
19/14/2/2 matched up against the aforementioned Rasheed Wallace
8/12/2/1 in 20 minutes
8/9/4/2/1 in 20 minutes
10/6/4/2/3 in 21 minutes
14/6/2/2/3 in 27 minutes
14/9/2/1/3 in 23 minutes against the Kings
10/11/0/2/2
15/5/2/1/2 in 25 minutes
10/12/1/1/4
10/6/5/1/3 in 24 minutes
18/11/4/2/3 in 33 minutes
18/6/5/1/2 in 26 minutes
6/10/2/0/2 in 20 minutes
12/7/1/1/1 in 24 minutes
24/7/0/1/0
4/8/3/1/1
10/6/2/2/5
20/14/3/0/3
12/8/3/0/2
26/4/1/2/0
That's not too shabby considering he plays great defense and is a project in his second season.
This is what I'm talking about. The guy has shown some really good stuff when given the opportunity.
SRV, I still don't think it's that bad. Yeah, Spencer is skinny right now, but look at almost any player in the league at his age. When his body matures more, he won't be undersized at all. The guy seems to like to mix it up inside, he's just usually not strong enough to--right now.
Tyrus is undersized, I just don't think it's as bad as some make it out to be.
