The problem with blaming Billy Kniight was that he actively tried to fire his horrible coach and wasn't allowed to.

I still ask if you all think that a better coach wouldn;t have gotten more out of this roster. I don't think anyone can honestly say that Mike Woodson did a good job or even passable job coaching this team.

You have to blame them both or don't blame them at all.

Why not, Rip? Plenty of great coaches have lost because they were saddled with flawed rosters. I'm not saying Woody isn't at all to blame here, but there are clearly situations where you can blame the GM and not the HC.

Yes, there have clearly been cases. this has not been one though.

Woody has done a horrible job as coach and Knight did a horrible job as GM.

Is our roster flawed? Yes. Is it a roster that should have more than 37 wins? Hell yes.

Guys like Acie Law, Salim, Jeremy Richardson, Solo...all of them are quality players that languish on the bench. At the same time, there were better players available also. So its both of them. BK for not getting the best talent available and Woody for not making use of the talent he has.

I think its crap that Woody is getting the benifit of the doubt here and it confirms that ownership doesn't watch this team night in and night out.

How does everyone know that J-Rich, Sal, and Solo are quality players when they've never seen them play?

Salim has gotten plenty of time in his 3 years here.

J-Rich, hard to say.

Solomon came into the league as a fairly old rookie and is still very weak. In terms of skills i think he is ok but his lack of strength is a big problem.

But we have seen them play and play well in flashes. then they are rewarded with never seeing the court again.

Solo - Didn't he have a 5 block, 8 rebound game once? Then he didn't play for another month.

Salim - I won't even go into it.

Jeremy Richardson - once again, when he got minutes, he showed the ability to knock down the open shot. He was rewareded with this by not playing again.

Mario West - Played well everytime he touched the court. Was rewarded with no minutes ever.

These guys lost minutes so that Tyrone Lue, Anthony Johnson, Lo Wright and others can play as much as possible because, you know, they were the future of this team.
