Would you trade Hedo for Michael Redd?
Assuming we were able to add someone like Duhon or another decent distributor/PG over the summer?
With Batman coming back, it would allow for Shard to shift back to SF. Redd isn't known as the best SG defender, but I think he'd still guard quick SGs better than Hedo would. And he is a deadeye offensive player and would fit with our inside-out system. We'd have our own version of Allen and Lewis, and Dwight as the anchor.

no, Hedo might have less of an offensive side to him than Redd, but Hedo is a distributor and facilitator, Redd is a ball stopper. Redd is a great talent but doesn't play very good defense, Hedo plays good defense and his defense is actually underrated...financially will should be able to pay Hedo a pretty fair amount, Redd, not the same...

The Bucks would do this I think, for several reasons. Skiles plays small to begin with, and the Bucks 3-Bigs roster experiment has been a hard failure. CV is probably on his way out, and with Mo Williams/Charlie Bell/Raymond Sessions, they could play a Hinrich/Duhon/Gordan type of game. And Hedo has tremendously high value right now.

Basically because whenever people talk about Redd, they say bad things about him. That's all I've got.
Redd is a star, but he is not good enough to carry the weight of a team on his shoulders. A lot like Allen, or Lewis. I think he'd fit in perfectly here.

No way.
Bucks fans point it out the most, he is a black hole with the ball. I noticed when we played them too, if he touches it then it will turn into a shot attempt.
Mix that with the fact that he's very one dimensional (especially compared with Hedo) and it's a big NO from me.
If they threw in Yi we could talk

The Bucks would not do this, but this is **** amazing.
PG Jameer Nelson
SG Michael Redd
SF Rashard Lewis
PF Tony Battie
C Dwight Howard
I bet SVG can make him into a good defender like he did with Rashard too. The Bucks were a pretty good team not too long ago, Redd just needs better players around him. If you think we're a good offensive team now, imagine with Redd. He would definitely put us over the top and make us by far the best in the league. The Redd of last season and the season before that was amazing. His defense SVG can work on. I heard when he first came into the league it was for defensive purposes anyways. He has it in him.

Hedo's becoming ridiculously overrated, especially his playmaking. He turns it over way too much in the process. People always remember the good things he did like the shot over the Celtics and the Bulls (I think?) but I remember every 4th quarter after the allstar break I was thought to myself, damn, Hedo has it, he's going to turn it over.

See the thing is that next season, Hedo will very likely be shifting to SG, with Rashard dropping back to SF. Hedo is an average to above-average defender of SFs, but I think he'll run into all kinds of difficulties guarding smaller quicker guys. I can't see Hedo containing Rip Hamilton at all.

why do you feel that this is going to transpire? do you honestly feel that Battie commands that much that he will be in the starting rotation? why cant he come off the bench? SVG will not run Hedo at the 2 in the starting lineup, book it...and if it comes down to Rashard and Battie, i'm willing to bet that $118m>>>>all...

Several reasons...
1) Battie is flat out more talented than either Mo Evans or Keith Bogans. We would field a stronger team with him on the floor.
2) We need that second rebounder. For a team with a center that averages 15 boards, we should not be an average rebounding team. Battie would help out tremendously for second chance points and for giving Dwight more freedom to operate.
3) The shooting game doesn't suffer. Like the dream Dwight/Darko experiment, Battie has a solid midrange game, and he won't clog Dwight or our ability to play inside/out.
4) If Rashard is given a say in the matter, he will almost certainly want to shift back to SF. He has had a decent year, but he has been playing out of position. Our 118M man will want to play where he is most effective.

1) Battie is more talented at PF than Evans and Bogans, agreed...the rest is speculation.
2) Why cant we get that 2nd rebounder off the bench? our bench SUCKS, we need a major boost there, wouldn't he help us more off the bench? also, more speculation.
3) Battie has a decent midrange game, he has a reliable base line shot, but outside of that he's here and there, he's more of a power guy. It's very possible that he could disrupt the block with Dwight down there, so more speculation.
4) REALLY? have you spoken to Rashard about this? because he really seems to be enjoying his current role on the team and has said that he likes the challenge and feel that he fits in...moving him down to the 3 will make him that much better, because? defense? stop it haha If SVG thought he could get more out of someone, don't you think he would have tried to exploit that?
it's all speculation...our first priority needs to be depth IMO, our starting lineup is fine, sure we could upgrade at the 2, but how many teams have perfect players in all five slots? sometimes it's about chemistry and making do...Battie comes back he will help solidify out bench. He and Foyle or Gortat on the court at the same time would be excellent, add in Cook with his range and Bogans and whichever PG we have then and we have a decent 2nd unit...
