The microfracture might have dropped him down to #3, but that's as far as I can see him dropping and the surgery is the only reason I can see for the drop. The microfracture is something I could see scaring teams off at the last minute, although Amare's late season surge was encouraging.
If this what if scenario assumes no microfracture, then Oden would be tabbed at #1.

"A while back,'' Cardinal said, "I took a picture of the standings and texted it to Love, just to bust his chops,'' Cardinal said. "He sent me a picture back of a snowdrift.''

your a hater rev lol. Plus you do realize your sig proves absolutely NOTHING right? Not only did we not have oden during that stretch but the fact is you don't take into schedules, we don't know who had the harder opponents/more home games so that's one of the worst skewed stats I've seen in quite some time lol bravo.

Definetly first, though I would take Rose over Durant because of his superstar potential. I'd have to rank em like this:
1. Oden (one of the best prospects of the last 10 or so years)
2. Rose (one of the better PG prospects in the last 5-6 years, has superstar potential and plays the most important position on the floor)
3. Beasley/Durant ( Both had amazing freshmen years, I'd just prefer the other two ahead of these two)
4. Durant/Beasley ( See #3 explaination)
With the slight edge to Beasley at #3 becuase he's more NBA ready then Durant was coming out of college.

I don't think it's really supposed to prove anything, it's just an observation of fact. It isn't skewing anything, it's just stating the records of two teams since a particular date. Why are you so touching about seeing your team's record since January 21st? It doesn't make Portland's future any less bright.

Dude lol that is the exact definition of skewing. Thats like saying oh look portland is 2-1 in it's last 3 games and San Antonio is 1-2 in its last 3 games. Even though portland played dallas/memphis/phx and 2 wins at home while San Antonio played new orleans 2 losses on the road and it's the playoffs. Also you think his intentions weren't to make people think minnesoat is in the same class as portland? The defintion itself : To turn or place at an angle.
To give a bias to; distort. It's ok defend your mod but I found it funny and rightfully called him out for it. Notice how he didn't post back?

skewing is still skewing... do you guys not get the definition? LoL seriously it's not the end of the world but it's still funny and it's quite entertaining how you all rush to the defense of your mod when I call him out for something that is a FACT. If you ask everyone whose future they take/who were better this year Blazers or Twolves and NO twolve fans/blazer fans were allowed to vote, I guarantee you at LEAST 85% of people would take portland (if not more). So when he has that in his sig he is trying to make people think otherwise, not a big deal since its a sports forumn and he can say whatever he wants, but I called him out for it and it's the TRUTH, deal with it...
edit: again he hasn't responded so I think that alone should prove I'm right.

If you're hanging you're whole argument on rev not responding to your post, that's pretty flimsy, no matter how many smiley faces you can coerce into agreeing with you.
Rev's a good guy, but I don't feel any need to stick up for him. I'm more just curious about why many of the Blazer fans I've interacted with get so overprotective of their team, when just about anybody would say that they're better set for the next 5-10 years than pretty much any team in the NBA. For whatever reason, that doesn't really seem to be enough for a lot of the fans, I'm just curious as to why. The best I can figure is that it's a mix of "Our team just got good again" syndrome mingling with some lingering insecurity from the final days of the Jailblazer era.
Nobody's saying that the Timberwolves have a better core for the future than the Blazers, just pointing out that over the last half of the season, the records of the two were extremely similar. That's a fact, not a cooked stat or anything of that ilk. It's a fact, one that it seems you'd rather not acknowledge, but a fact nonetheless. It doesn't mean anything outside of the teams having similar records over the last half of the season, there's no need to go on some crusade in the thread over it.

umm, there's something called the NBA lottery happening in nine days...maybe you ought to wait until then before spouting off ridiculous pronouncements like this.

I can tell you are a T-Wolves fan, because as a Bulls fan, I can say straight up that there is no one single player in the draft that makes me take the T-Wolves over Portland.
