Please! This would be the best move Cleveland could make all year. I know that Dallas struggled, but San Antonio struggled with New Orleans and you can't knock him for the job he did in Dallas.

That would be a lateral move. The exact same complaints and weaknesses which MB is struggling with now are what Avery struggled with in Dallas. They both over micromanage and both fail to coach offense well. The same applies to JVG and Dallas' possible hire Rick Carlisle.

Why should the Cavs fire MB and hire a coach who is similar in many ways? If Mike D'Antoni is available and if they want to go in a different direction then that might make more sense because he would be a change.

To fire a guy they just extended and replace him with a similar type of coach does not make sense.

I don't think that firing Mike Brown is the right move. I too get frustrated with what he does, but you can't argue that he provides this time with defense. Defense is how you win championships. We just need to bring in an offensive minded assistant coach and we are good to go.

You can't even compare Mike Brown with Avery Johnson. Johnson is 10x the coach that Brown is. Avery's offense was damn good in Dallas before they got JKidd. Kidd and Avery just didn't see eye to eye. It isn't Avery's fault that his star player is as soft as anything.

Avery Johnson is a way better coach than MB. If Johnson doesn't get picked up by a bigger franchise, I would pull the trigger asap. This team is essentially the Cleveland Lebrons anyway. If you don't gamble, there's no chance of getting a ring with this team.

Just about any team with lebron on it will have huge expectations, and if or when they arent met the coach will get the heat first. With that being said, I dont think this will be the year that M Brown goes.

I for one have problems with Brown for several reasons and wouldnt mind seeing Avery here. I think he is a better coach but I havent seen him coach on a game in and game out basis, so my opinion isnt the most informed.

However I cant see how we can be shut down offensively game after game and there seems to be no adjustments to what we run. And for certain there arent in game adjustments as last nights massacre showed again. So would going with Avery make a difference? I dont know but I am sure tired of watching games like last nights.

Well, although Avery is somewhat similar to MB, the fact does not change that he is the better coach. He will actually motivate our players with his energy, he will call timeouts at the right time, he will not allow the opposing team to score on four straight possessions without doing anything, and he does not play Tic Tac Toe by himself on the white board..

When you have Lebron James on your team do you really need a head coach that can do offense but not defense...Avery obviously wasnt a good defensive coach....they didnt rebound well and didnt play good defense....at least the Cavs are playing good defense and rebounding...Lebron is good enough to not need a head coach who coaches offense....an assistant coach...i can see that....but like others here...I'm not too high on Mike Brown either....Avery got a raw deal in Dallas...they were better without the trade...Devin Harris could have at least stayed with Chris Paul and Diop provided some presence inside that they needed more than they realized....Jason Kidd is old and overrated now...he can still play but not like he used to.

This is just a dumb argument. There is no way that the Cavs are going to fire Brown so I don't see the point in debating it.
