Redd, Yi and a second rounder

for

Boozer, Almond, Price, Collins (to make it work)

Utah does this because maybe they've gone as far as they can with Boozer. They have a nice, versatile frontline even without him (AK, Millsap, Memo, Yi).

With Redd, Ronnie Brewer could move to the 3 while AK moves back to the 4 spot.

The Bucks get Boozer, obviously, to start next to Bogut. And apparently, Almond was tearing **** up in the D-League. Not that it'll translate, but signs point to him being a solid SG. With Price, the Bucks get a nice backup PG and Collins is off the books in a year according to trade checker.

That leaves the Bucks with:

Williams -- Sessions -- Price
Miller -- Bell -- Almond
Simmons -- Miller
Boozer -- Ruffin -- Anthony Randolph at 7?
Bogut -- Collins -- Gadz

Pick up a defensive minded swing player via FA or in the draft and the Bucks rebuild on the fly, Detroit style.

I wish I believed that Utah would consider that offer, but I don't think it's reasonable.

Boozer and Bogut would be such a sweet frontline. A lock for 37 and 21 every night.

Utah won't do it, but I do like the Almond idea. Watched him in the D-league and his game really is smooth. He's going to be a good shooter in this league.

Another Harris blunder

Drafting Dan Gadzuric right before Carlos Boozer....to add injury to insult he gave him $36M when I think Utah inked Boozer for $50M

That mistake was on Grunfeld's watch, but Harris/Babcock aren't void of any blame on the decision.

I was going to throw Redd/Yi/#7 pick out there for Boozer on the trade board thread that was asking his value.

Without the pick, no way they even consider it.

The Basketball Gods have tried to give us Boozer twice. We're just too stupid to take him.

Jersey sales alone would've been off the charts.

With all the drunks in Milwaukee, everyone would wants a Bucks jersey with the name Boozer on the back.

I'd kill to ahve boozer on the Bucks, and many jazz fans think he might be traded (they're unlikely to get anything of value for AK). That said, i don't think you scenario works for a few reasons:

1. Jazz would value mo more than redd. Their contract situation is out of control so redd's 18 mill would be tough, plus mo has history there.

2. Yi in utah is just a bad fit all around. The Jazz would be embracing AK/Milsap at PF, so i don't think they'd want to deal wtih the Yi headache.

With both of those points in mind, here's a scenario I think we'd have to do:

Bucks trade: Mo Williams, Desmond Mason, 7 pick
Jazz trade: Boozer

I'm not sure if we keep Yi after this or not, but we would ahve the option to for a while at least as he could play next to either boozer or bogut off the bench. For the Jazz, they get a lottery pick to pick up a center or small forward, they get Mo who would be great off the bench or as a starter next to Deron Williams, and they get Mason who could be a decent stop gap bench SF and would provide them wtih enough cap relief to extend Deron Williams' contract.

Why would they think they've gone as far as they can with Boozer? He's 26 and Deron is 23, for one. Second, they're still in the playoffs and made the conference finals last season.

I really don't see Boozer or Deron going anywhere for some time, at this pace at least. Utah loves their PF/PG combos, and they're hoping one day to win a Championship with one.

Either Mo or Redd

Either Yi or CV

#7 pick

for Boozer.

Not sure if the Jazz would even be interested but that might at least get their attention. A Redd/Yi or Mo/Dez/#7 offer doesn't.

I don't think Utah does the original. If we add out pick maybe then they consider but I think that would be too much for us to give up at that point.

Personally I don't think the Jazz do it even if we include our pick. Looking at the trade pessimistically (realistically?), we are only offering an extremely overpaid, mediocre SG, a prima donna PF prospect who was one of the worst starters in the NBA for parts of the season (and arguably wouldn't be a top-10 pick if the draft was redone) and a #7 pick in a relatively weak draft.

I don't really think they do it either unless they are really high on Yi or someone else in the draft. If they would do it though, A Bogut/Boozer frontline would be great but we wouldn't have any assets left to build a good team around them.
