off-court antics?

Post#1 » by HarlemHeat37 » Fri May 9, 2008 5:15 pm

does anybody think off-court antics have a significant effect when it comes tot he media ranking players on an all-time basis? what about your own opinion of that player?..

the Karl Malone story had me thinking of this, since there have been a lot of jokes about it whenever any other player has been compared to Mailman lately..

I've also heard of many cases were HOF chances were affected(Malone's obviously won't be) like Rodman and his off court antics..do you think that it's fair for the committee to consider the player's off-court antics?..

If off-court antics affect rankings, Jordan would be one of the worst players ever.

well I meant it more towards bias..if somebody hates what a certain player has done, they're always going to sell him short..Jordan did plenty, but he was always loved by the media..someone like Rodman on the other hand, is disliked by many for **** he has done, which affects his ranking and HOF chances..

I have no doubt a lot of people are going to think about this the instant they think of Karl Malone, and many will sell him short..

Ummm, yeah. Look at Kobe Bryant. They screwed him over for a few years because of his whole rape and Shaq scandal. Despite this, he played his ass off and will be once again looked on in a favorable light when it comes to all-time rankings.
