So was Nash one of Stephen A. Smith's sources who said that Mike has told the players he wants to stay?

I've suspected Shaq was the source, but these comments support what Stephen A. said.

It seems Mike wants to stay and the players want him to stay, but Mike probably wants more power and is just not on the same page as Kerr.

Hopefully they work things out.

But I can't disagree with what Kerr wants him to do; the team's defense must improve and definitely D'Antoni needs to be harder with his players, at times.

That's a man, Steve! MikeD is a player coach so he's going to get his players to support him no doubt, even Shaq hopes him stay...well, except Amare because he's Black Jesus.

I hope he doesn't go to NY, he'd be an extremely bad fit in NY personnel wise. They have talent on the roster, but it just doesnt mix at all. Theres no identity with that team, just a bad mix of players and adding MikeD would only compound the problem.

Now Atlanta is a totally different situation. JoeJ is his guy, and JSmith is Shawn PartII. It'd be a way better situation for him, given their youth and athleticism. The problem there is that their ownership sucks and they don't have a GM as of now.

Mkot, I totally agree with you on the ATL take. They are already one of the more exciting teams to watch.. imagine SSOL in ATL. Without Bibby of course.. I'm sure Law will take over next year.

Someone on the Bulls board just posted that no serious negotiations have taken place so far in regards to Mike D.

What is going on here? It's been a week since he was given permission to talk to other teams and STILL no offers have even been made!

Something tells me he's staying...how can there be no offers yet after all this time?
