Nuggets Will Listen To Trade Offers For Carmelo
May 9, 2008 - 2:02 pm
Denver Post -
The Nuggets have made no indication that they will actively shop Carmelo Anthony, but they will listen to offers, according to the Denver Post.

Because of his off the court problems and the luxury tax, Denver may be inclined to see what sort of package Anthony would yield. [READ]

Shocking that they would give up on their franchise player that early....

Yes that's what Houston needs, another guy who cannot get them out of the first round.

"listen to offers" doesnt sound like giving up on their franchise player...but on the other side...c'mon, he's a problem, ditch him before he does something to eclipse his talent and becomes dead weight...

Given the options out there, Melo would be an amazing addition to the raps.

Whoever is running the show in Denver -- who really knows between the 3 headed monster that we like to call a "GM" and our owner -- is severely stupid.

How about instead of shopping Melo (because he got a speeding ticket? ridiculous) they go ahead and remove George Karl from the head coaching position and go from there. This team will NEVER be successful -- period -- with GK as the head coach, even if they fielded a starting 5 composed entirely of hall of famers.

Trading our best player won't make George Karl a better coach, and THAT is the problem with the Nuggets, not Melo's personal issues.

Sometimes it feels like this organization is trying to be mediocre.

I wish people would actually read some of the articles instead of the misquotes that constantly happen in the wiretap, here is the exact quote fromt he story in regards to the trade.
denver post wrote:their 23-year-old forward has become the source of enough frustration within team headquarters that Denver would be willing to listen if somebody made a trade offer too good to refuse for Melo.

Which every team in the league will listen to offers for any players.

Yeah Toronto would be an interesting fit, although one may argue that the last thing they need is a guy that doesn't defend.

I'm as big a fan as anyone of exploring trade possibilities, but you seriously believe we have any shot of actually getting him together with Yao and Tracy? I mean, I'd be happy if Houston could get Richard Jefferson or Corey Maggette without giving up too much.

TJ-Bargnani-Rasho-17th Pick+Future pick for Carmelo+Fill in.

Well they could get much better, but that's probably the best the Raps could do. Plus, he's going to the East too.

Big difference between a speeding ticket and a DUI... if it were the first incident with Melo they might turn a blind eye, but as it is...
Hello ladies. Look at your posts. Now back to mine. Now back at your posts now back to MINE. Sadly, they aren't mine. But if your posts started using Optimism™, they could sound like mine. This post is now diamonds.

Toronto would be useless. Bosh is like a taller Carmelo at PF. In terms of skill and the way eh plays..
