For the first time in my life, I agree with you Stephen A.

Quite frankly, it's **** good that you agree with me. However, you got to realize that the Rockets have LUTHER HEAD....LUTHER HEAD....LUTHER HEAD...ya ain't gonna weeeen with LUTHA HEAD. it's a disgrace to basketball, LUTHA HEAD.

/SAS mode

anyways, dude, how badly do we want SAS to go off on Luther head. that'd be so funny.

haha why all the hate for Arroyo? My mistake though I didnt mean I wanted him as a 3rd option just as an addition I think he would be great better than Rafer in terms of consistent shooting... He has played well for the toughest coaches in this league, and had to play behind players like Billups, and Nelson.

Maybe because he eventually winds up losing his spot in the rotation everywhere he goes to people like Keyon Dooling.

^^ Dooling usually comes off the bench to play the 2, Arroyo is ORL backup PG and he gets consistent minutes.

Arroyo can be a decent back-up PG but he's not exactly the answer to getting out of the first round. It doesn't really make sense to me to try to sign a bit piece like him that'll hardly make a difference when you can just develop somebody like Brooks if there is nobody else on the market.

We're looking at a similar problem to what we have with Arenas there, although he's only going to command 7-10.5 million, probably closest to 9.5 - some increase on his current salary, but not as much as possible.

Or is he still a UFA? Did he exercise his option yet? How long does he have to decide whether to do that or not? I wouldn't expect it until after the season is completely over, but don't know the rules for it.

He has until July 1st to exercise it but he's pretty much said he's not going to. He and his agent both know that all the teams that would be interested in him can't offer anything more than the MLE and he's looking for nearly double that. Look for him to quietly ask Geoff Petrie to be traded followed by him working out an extension with whatever team he gets traded to.
