Ty Lawson

Post#1 » by xxSnEaKyPxx » Sat May 10, 2008 2:36 am

Hey guys. I live in NC and I was going to turn off the TV and a local station was talking about whether Ty will change his mind and stay at UNC or if he will decide to keep his name in the NBA. Anyway they were saying Denver has interest in Lawson with the 20th pick. I don't know how accurate that is, just telling ya'll what I heard.

Honestly, I'm hoping the Pacers trade Jeff Foster for a later pick to draft a PG and Lawson would be ideal. I think he will end up staying at UNC, but if he doesn't I think he will pan out to be the 3rd best PG in this draft behind Rose and Bayless.

If this is suppose to be in another section just move it there, every team seems to have different rules.

The only way Lawson is a good fit is if management does not plan on keeping Iverson, and wants to run a Lawson/JR backcourt for the future. Otherwise, it is horrible.

Russell Westbrook. I wont be happy with another point unless we get Rose.

Lawson is extremely quick. You can't teach his speed. He's small, but has strength to guard taller guards.

I look at him as a young Lindsey Hunter.

I wouldn't mind Detroit picking him at #29 and stashing him as the 3rd string PG since Hunter is retiring this year.

Always injured? He missed like 6 games with a high ankle sprain. I don't remember him ever being injured before that.

I will poop my pants if we draft this guy. That would be the height of stupidity at the #20.

tbh if we had known Billups would be traded here, then going after Lawson would be a no brainer.

But a Lawson/AI backcourt would be terrible.

That and Lawson also improved greatly from his sophomore to junior year.

But yeah, at the time we were rolling with AI/AC as our starting backcourt. Adding another 5'11 guy wouldn't exactly have been ideal.
