Sasha Vujacic = The Phail Machine = The Ring Blocker

Trade Sasha before he ruins the Lakers next season.

wow. Melo=Glen Robinson. GREAT comparison. Big Dog was a great scorer. Nothing else. He was like a black hole when the ball came to him. His Bucks teams were 1st/2nd round fodder mostly, except that one time they made it to the conference finals. If Melo isnt careful, he could end up just like Big Dog. (sans the championship he won riding Duncan's coattails in 05).

I say no.

This team scores enough to win rings already. Defensive improvements is our only need.

Bynum and Lamar? do you want any pics in there also?

I would not trade Lamar straight for Melo, but thats just me.

I know Melo will make the Lakers much more money with his marketability so I don't know how much of a factor will that play.

I'd trade Lamar for Melo in a heart beat but I wouldn't trade Bynum straight up for Melo.

Very interesting. I have always been a big supporter of Odom since he was with the Clippers, but a talent like Melo is something that you just have to think about. Odom has fit in perfectly as of late, especially with Gasol there to take some of the offensive pressure off of him.

This scenario kinda reminds me of James Worthy and Dominique Wilkins. Back in the 80's we had the chance to draft Nique over James, but chose James instead with the #1 overall pick. Now Nique posted more impressive numbers, more highlights, better one on one player, but I think Big Game James fit perfectly with Magic, KAJ, Scott, Green, etc. Could Nique have learned to play with the Showtime era Lakers? We'll never really know, but if we got something working for us, why should we break it up?

........ pass on Melo.

Well if you think the entire team and the coaching staff are liars then you might be right. I dont.

yeah actually it makes perfect logical sense to tell the truth if kobe did give up.

i do think he gave up in game 7, but i think it was more of well i know we are going to lose so i'm just going to not look stupid and chuck up 30 shots and lose i'm going to show everyone that my teammates failed aswell.

So no to LO for Melo, but you want BYnum. Coby, Farmar and LO for Melo and Camby.... Man.... and Walton... Now thats just one of the most lopsided deals that will never happend or that Denver ish u smokin is way to potent even in your high altitude..

Why would the Lakers do that? If it aint broke....Dont fix it.

Pass!! Keep him.. Denver can Keep losing with its Melo and AI combo for all I care..

I wouldn't do it. He doesn't add anything we don't already have and would be redundant. Lamar has a new role that is perfect for him and we shouldn't disrupt the chemistry. Our ball movement is tremendous and Carmelo would surely ruin that.

If u want Melo then a deal like this needs to be done:
Bynum + Walton + Coby Karl + Farmer + Odom
for
Melo + Camby.

Gives u:
Camby - Gasol - Melo - Kobe - Fisher

Gives us:
Bynum - Kenyon - Odom - JR - Farmer (AI would opt out).

U guys get improved roster, we get salary relief, and head into rebuild mode.

And yes... Bynum needs to be included in the deal if u want Melo.

:noway: :noway:
Your up on here calling shot's like your the BIG shot caller of this board .
Gives us blah blah blah blah and we'll give you blah blah blah .
Thats the problem shot caller ...............Its all Blah blah blah to me .
I wouldnt touch Mello with anyone on our roster .
He's a head case , he reminds me of Ryder ..........Good talent but doesnt seem to have his head straight , and will never be a solid piece to build a frachise on , neverthless trade L.O AND BYNUM .......
If I was Jerry Buss I would be more scared of him making it to the game without getting a speeding ticket or a D.U.I than trading two or three or in your case( Bynum + Walton + Coby Karl + Farmer + Odom).
Hell while were at it why dont we throw in Jack N. , Denzel , a couple of Laker girls and the team BUS .

I can see you've been hanging out with Melo before you posted this great trade ................ DROP THE PIPE DOWN and MOVE AWAY FROM THE KEYBOARD .............

i didnt realise that a good 30 games in a season makes you better than someone whose averaged over 20 points for the last 5 years.

I didn't realize averaging 20 points per game is more valuable than a 20 year old, extremely talented player who plays the most valuable position in the league, who's also a defensive anchor and a great rebounder.

The Lakers would be idiots to trade Bynum for Anthony, and I like Carmelo as a player. You never trade big for small like that.

surely you have to put a caveat in that statement otherwise it sounds too good to be true, considering bynum has only shown these traits in less than half a season and has knee problems.

its not the laughable deal that you are making out tbh.

Your right but where has the 20 point game in the last 5 years taken the NUggets so far .................. No WHere .
But if I had to count on the good 30 game CENTER which happens to have potentiol to be an allstar , specially after 2 seasons .
Then I would rather take my chances with that center .
Also if you look back in history you would realize that championship teams or contenders are built around a center , not S.F's specailly one that has a lot of issues On/Off the court .
Think about it and get back to us .

You make his knee injury sound like its a career ending injury .
If Im correct it is his first injury , look at Camby , look at Amare , Kmart .
Also the kid is only 20 years old and this was his second season , and you have to admit though your not , when he was healthy he was a top 5 center in the league and again that's a 20 year old kid that sat on the pine his rookie year .
