Marc Gasol for Marcus Camby???

Post#1 » by grizzleGM » Sat May 10, 2008 3:56 am

I know the news stations here in Memphis RARELY (by rarely I mean never) know what is going on with the Grizz. They mentioned that this was being discussed. It got me to thinking...

Cool scenario (these always start with the Grizz winning the lottery):
1) win lottery, draft DRose
2) re-sign JCN 4 years $18mil
3) Trade Conley to Portland for #12 and Webster
4) Trade MGasol, Collins for Camby, #20 (Grizz absorb $3.9mil of that deal)
5) Trade Lowry to Wizards for #18 and Pecherov (immediately waived)
6) Draft #12-JaVale McGee #18-Robin Lopez #20-Brandon Rush #28-Joey Dorsey

lineup:
DRose/Critt
MMiller/JCN/Rush
Gay/Webster
McGee/Dorsey
Camby/Darko/Lopez

starting 5
Rose
MMiller
Gay
Darko
Camby

wow I was bored tonight!

Yep, its a cool scenario....all of em are reasonable trades. maybe the camby one could not work out... im not sure how valuable gasol is for nuggets.

Now i just hope GW get a bored-lighted-night as u.

Sounds great.
Now all the Grizz have to do is win the lottery and spend enough to outbid & out-woo Real Madrid and FC Barcelona for Marc Gasol --- apparently it's a big battle that's been going on over there for weeks, according to El Mundo Deportivo.

I would not waive Pecherov...

I was thinking the same thing Barba. I think I would rather keep Gasol over getting Camby.

I agree BG, I would rather keep Gasol also. I don't think there is a need to trade a young big for an old big.

Yeah. I think Denver dug themselves into a hole they will have a tough time getting out of.

i'd do camby + future draft considerations for gasol and navarro (both sign/trades)......

denver is able to get 2 players for the cost of 1......

i'd do it...

i'm afraid that gasol and navarro will take up all our cap this year and thus not help out our defensive and toughness needs at all......
