Round 2 Game 3 : Celtics @ Cavs - Saturday, May 10th (2-0)

We got totally out-played and we couldn't defend or box out properly.

The offense became so out of whack because Rondo will not shoot his shots....instead he will take shots he shouldn't take (drive to the rim against Big Z or drive on a break-away against 3 defenders).

We need to get Ray going early because it's hard for shooters to establish a rhythm without shooting multiple times.

Ray is too good of a shooter to not be getting 18-22 against Wally Z.

Pierce's offense will be much harder to come by because LeBron is on him.

And most importantly the team needs to bring MORE energy and awareness on defense.

This is not C's defense we have been seeing all year....way too many missed assignments and over play.

Have to give credit to the Cavs reserves and role-players.

They won this game for them handily because they wouldn't let LeBron go down in flames.

Allen is making Wally look like an All-NBA defensive player - pathetic! Has Allen aged 5 years this series. Doc should play Posey over him just to spare Allen the shame that he's brought upon himself. Bring him in as a 6th man and see if it changes anything. This is the playoffs. Try something new, Doc. Something has to change. We could have lost games 1 and 2 as well.

Cassell, Pierce, and Rondo played like crap, too! Cassell's starting to play his age. Rondo's playing like a rookie. Pierce, like Allen and Cassell, looks like he's aged 5 years.

Throw in the Cavs 2nd chance pts and the Celts missed free throws and it's easy to see why the Celts lost this game.

Why don't they just give game 4 to the Cavs and just head back to Boston? Its obvious this team can't do anything on the road. This is just pathetic.

West destoyed Rondo

Wally destroyed Allen

Ilgauskus destroyed Perk

Joe Smith is playing like he's back at Maryland. That's a bad omen.

Way to choke when it matters, Allen.

They need to run some Pick 'n Roles with Ray's guy.

Also run him off some damn screens Doc...you know Reggie Miller plays.

Ray is NOT a dribble drive guy anymore nor a spot up shooter.

And Ray needs to MAKE SOME DAMN OPEN SHOTS.

Funny, I was sittting here thinking the same thing--start Posey over Ray. PP can thus use some energy to get his offense going. Ray is so passive on D. He never gets any loose balls. He never helps and he never commits a strategic foul. If Ray is only going to give you 10 poiints in starters minutes, Posey can give you 10, so what's the difference? Too bad Doc will never ever do something so drastic. Doc takes all his frustrations out on Rondo.

I thought we'd lose this game and then win game 4, but I thought we'd at least be competitive tonight. Just an awful performance and I'm really questioning whether they can win game 4 now based on their road D/performances.

On the bright side, while LeBron looked slightly better, they still contained him pretty damn well and I don't think CLE can count on West/Wally/Joe Smith beating us again.

Yesterday's game give me alot of hope for tomorrow... I think we are gonna win game 4.
