Didn't they compare DeShawn Stevenson to Michael Jordan at one point?

No that's Chen Jianghua, but both players were backups. The starting PG for Team China has always been Liu Wei.

Here's the link. The nbadraft article was based on the shanghai daily article that came 3 days before this one. Also according to fiba.com, he had the cyst removed already and he's back training.

Here is the latest update on Xu Yong:

According to his manager, Xu Yong is resting and waiting for the results of the diagnostics from the American and Chinese doctors. There are two possibilities,
1. Get a treatment and have a 50% probability to be back to CBA next season.
2. Get a new knee and his basketball career is done.

Only thing for sure is that he does not have to go through amputation for the left leg.

I have gotten this information from the Chinese media on April 25th, which is the latest update on him in all the news media.

Chinese players are good prospects because they all learn how to shoot from range so if they have athletic ability then you have yourself a versatile player.

Apparently only their big men can shoot with range. The PG that the lakers drafted last year, has no jump shot.
