2nd favorite team?

Post#1 » by Orange_Blooded » Sun May 11, 2008 6:38 am

At this point I say go knicks with Coach D and probably most of his staff along with steph(?) and Q.

i used to route for the mavs after the suns since they had nash, fins, Ced, Cassell (never a real sun in my book though), ac green, hot rod, mark bryant, Donnie Nelson and I think I'm missing someone.

Anyways, who's everyone elses 2nd favs now. The Heat were a close call fpr me since they have the matrix but i am routing for the Knicks in the East now that Kidd is back in dallas.

Warriors, fast team.

I'm liking New Orleans now. Chris Paul is god.

The Detroit Pistons.

This is the only team that would stop me from being a Suns fan in the future and there is only one way this would happen. Grant Hill going back "home" to Detroit.

As most of you know, when I cam on board before the season I informed everyone in my Never Fear 33 Is Here thread that I am a Grant Hill fan first and foremost, however over this past season that has changed slightly. I get way too worked up when we lose and way too happy when we win to just be a Grant Hill fan, also even when he didn't play this season, which wasn't too often like past seasons, I still watched and still got the above reactions win or lose.

So in saying this, if Grant Hill left to another team this off season then I would stay a Suns fan for ever. Unless he went back to Detroit then I would follow my boy to Detroit. I know it is a bit weird, but I have been a Grant Hill fan first and foremost since I started to follow the NBA which was when Grant Hill got drafted after I had followed his whole College career.

I still like Detroit as an organization and I like to see them win, but having said that I can't stand any of their current players other than maybe Prince and Billups, Maxiell is ok too.

Anyways, enough of my little explanation.

GO SUNS!!!

I like Indy in the East, not sure why, have just always liked them.

Also a soft spot for ORL from the Penny days, and yeah New Orleans are great to watch now - Paul makes it look so easy

Yuck... How did the Knicks, Heat, and Grizzlies get on that list!

Been watching a lot of NO lately too. I was always big on West out of college, and Paul, well he's making a future case for HOF'er in his 3rd year. I read an analysis of him, that his team scores at a rate of 4% below the average efg% in the NBA without him too. He should have won MVP in my opinion. Out in the West, Hornets and the Blazers are my two favorite teams to watch.

In the East, I like the Sixers. They have some young talent that I like to watch develop throughout the season. Though, I think they are trying to contend too early and could have put themselves in a better position had they traded Miller last season for a #1 pick and gotten Rose this year instead. I watch the Cavs too, but outside of Lebron, they're a painful team to watch.

Got to go with chrice here: out of those teams in the poll, Atlanta and New York are the only franchises I don't dislike  And coach D leaving us for the Knicks isn't exactly making them more likeable to me, either.
If I had to pick one of those I'd do with the Hawks, but my 2nd favorite team in the NBA are the Suns...

...uhm, did I just...

I meant the Raptors, of course... :D

Nobody comes close to the Suns of course, but now that Mike is in NY and given the fact that I LOVE NY, I will follow them closely. A part from that I like CP3 and the Hornets, but I don't really give a damn if they win or not, I just really like CP3. That was the case with the Heat when Shaq was there, now I don't care about them.

The only team that I WILL NEVER LIKE, not even a little bit: Spurs, Lakers and Mavs.

gotta give love to boston. they were always on top, they have a huge history and a real good actual roster - realy like ray allen, eddie house ( what the time when he was here ) and paul pierce-

but there is no better franchise than the suns.
remember guys like danny manning, joe kleine, wes person - man we had always realy smart type of players..

gotta love the suns.

The Grizzlies are my second favorite team because they have MI as their coach. Yes, I am an MI fan even though his first season didn't go so well.

I like the Warriors uptempo system and unpredictability. Baron Davis is one of my favorite point guards. Just wish they had better help down low.

I am also beggining to jump on the Hornets bandwagon day by day. Cp3 impresses me more and more with every game he plays.

My second fav. team would be the Sonics just because I used to live there and Seattle just sort of grew on me, but I love the warriors up and down style of play.

I like Portland due to their youth and talent, plus half their draft picks in the past 3-4 years is ours. As far as other teams, i like them only due to the players NOH (Paul), Cavs (Lebron) and Magic (Dwight).

Like Go7enKs said i would never like the Lakers, Spurs and Mavs.

It's wierd that I am Suns and Lakers fan but what can i do, Amare is my fav player and Kobe is second. Of course if LAL plays PHX i allways cheer for Suns.

I hate Jazz and have no respect for them, because of Fisher situation. C'mon they were screeming cancer at games agains LAL, is it Fishers fault that his daughter has eye cancer? Also look at this

Blazers, my wifes team. Although, she is now a Suns fan first and foremost.

They are a good organization that is doing a good job changing the culture of their team, I can see them becoming a fixture in the playoffs for a long time with Roy and Oden.

Put them on the list on the basis of their connections to the suns... Joe Johnson, marion/banks Mike d, mike Ivaroni, steph, Q, ect.

Boston because of ainge and House, I love eddie house.
