I'm saying yes, we pull off a productive draft this year. The table is already set and most diners have their spots picked out, so all the Magic have to do is pick the right guy to fill one of two chairs. That shouldn't be rocket science!

The question was do you think that the Magic will screw up this draft yes or no.
So saying yes means you think the Magic will screw up this draft.
So what did you vote yes or no.
I voted no they won't screw up and they will bet the PF that they need so badly.

We're due for a good draft. Hopefully there will be a good PG available for us or at least a good wing.

Did you watch the same game the Magic badly need a PF who can bang the boards with Dwight. Hedo and Lewis even more so do not bang the boards when that action is going on they are in most cases already running the other way on the court.
Good PG's not great are gone by this time in the draft. The good news is that this draft has an abundance of PF's that can help the Magic right away instead of being someone who needs to play overseas or in the DL.

I wish we could get someone like Joe Smith.

I voted no. In my response I was caught between talking to the poll or the poster, I chose the poster.

I actually think our frontcourt will be pretty good. I mean there was that report saying Fran will be here. We got Battie coming back. Gortat looks very solid last nights game. Not to mention Cook is injured. And Dwight will be even better next year.

But if someone like Darrell Arthur is avalible when we pick. I can't see us passing him up.

Sadly, there isn't any PG's availible when we pick, now that Collison is staying in school. Lawson will be availible but I don't see us drafting another PG under 6'0.

Arthur would be great because he can play that combo forward role giving us even more versatility. Plus I think the guy is a stud talent. As for the points, Collison not declaring took a lot of wind out of my sails. I had hopped he'd fall to us. Lawson is nice, but not really what we need. I just don't know about Chalmers....

We will not screw this up, there's too much depth this Draft to screw up. We can even grab a stud in the 2nd Round let alone the 1st.

They will find a way to screw up. They'll either draft a euro player and pay him to play overseas and not here, or they will draft a swingman to further clog our sf position.

I don't know about Chalmers either. And I'm a KU fan. He's great on defense and he can run a team. He's a little turnover prone...but you couldn't see that much with our PG rotation. I wouldn't be exactly mad if we drafted him. But I think he'd be a little too high to pick at 20. We should look to acquire a 2nd rounder.

I'm sorry, but what a dumb poll.

If you're going to put a question like this in, it should be "Do you still have faith in the Magic?" or something to that effect because that is the only thing you're testing here.

And yes, I still have faith in the Magic. I don't see a reason why they wouldn't have a productive draft this year.

No, we will trade our pick for 3mi in cash plus future considerations.

I think we certainly can have a productive draft.

There should be some quality players who fall to where we will be picking.

Two of the players who I happen to like, and have a good chance of being available, actually play for the same team. Guess who...

I saw Rip putting up 30+ on us and us not having a real backup PG that could run the offense. Defensive rebounding did kill us, but several of them Detroit just outhustled us(like the last one wasn't really bad rebounding, just great hustle for McDyess). I do think we will be alright with our bigs next year once Battie and Cook come back healthy. I still think we start Shard at PF, and we will only rely on our backup bigs to play a combined 30-35 mins. (10 for when Dwight, Shard, and Hedo each all sit and possibly a couple other mins) and for that reason I think Battie, Cook, Gortat can be productive in the 30-35 mins.

I think if Chalmers is still available we should make a run for him, because like the guy that goes to Kansas said he's a good defender and can run an offense, which is all we really need out of our PG spot. Since there really aren't many PG's in this draft, I wouldn't be mad if we drafted a PF, but I'd rather go wing in that case and sign a veteran to backup Jameer. I think we could get a quality big man like Hendrix if we just trade and buy a 2nd rounder from someone.

Same team ehh? I'm saying either Kansas or Memphis, and I'll go Memphis; D-R and Dorsey?

Err... Russell Westbrook and Kevin Love? (UCLA) :dontknow: Then again, I don't really think they have a good chance of being available at 22, probably the contrary.

Mario Chalmers and Brandon Rush (Kansas) maybe?
