Wow, everyone looks to have thrown the hat in the towell already. Somehow I'm not that surprised with the negativity levels of some people...

Definitely a long shot and not very likely at this point, but it's not impossible either. You can be humble but still positive too, it's not always everything or nothing, you know...

Sorry that was our chance last night and we blew it. We beat ourselves in that game. The 15 point lead was given away and we should have at least done better with free throws. Dwight didn't get his like we needed him to beat the Pistons (see game 3 for evidence of what we need from DH) and Turk arrived 5 minutes too late.

If we were going to win this series, this was the game to break Detroit. I'd be very surprised if Billups features in game 5 now. Hamstrings are more serious than the Pistons are letting on. I think if we'd have won last night, it would have panicked and forced Detroit. Billups would have been rushed back and I think with momentum and "Flip blows it again" syndrome, we stood a good chance. Last night destroyed momentum and I think next we're partly to blame. I expect Detroit to close out a series we could have won in 5 now.

This is not unrealistic at all. In fact, the Magic are beating themselves as much as the Pistons are beating them. ALL of the Magic flaws came out in game four; poor 3rd quarters, bad rebounding, and missed free throws. That rebound by McDyess was huge. That being said, the Magic are due a win on the road in Detroit, and if they are without Billups for a second straight game, the Magic will pull off the upset. Going into game 6, the Magic will avenge the game 4 loss and win BIG. Then game 7 will tell if the Magic have learned anything at all during this series.

The Magic are a good road team and will be capable of a win in game 5.

Though I have to say it IS unrealistic to think Detroit is going to lose two more games on it its home court when we haven't beaten them once in two tries I don't think theres any downside to holding out hope.

Take one game at a time.

The Magic can not continue to lose focus in games.

It is possible the Pistons may have some letdown effect from stealing this game.

1) Movement 2) Application of fundamentals 3) Predictability

The way I look at it is like this: if the Magic have a game, I feel like we're going to win. Period. So if someone asks me, "Hey, who's going to win Game 5?" I feel confident enough to say, "The Magic," every time.

Ask me the same after Game 6, after Game 7. It's not that crazy to think we can still win this series.

It's like MostValuableGM said, let's do the same thing Detroit did to us in 2003. How do you think those Pistons and their fans felt that year? Let's do this.

It's not the same thing because back then the pistons had 2 left at home. We only have one. HUGE difference.

Look I love the magic as much as the next guy, and im going to be watching and rooting, but I think we have almost no chance to win this series. Hopefully they sit Billups in game 5, we steal a win and get another at home. Then game 7. I HIGHLY DOUBT we win game 5, but if we can we are back in the series.

The Magic appear to believe they are a better team. You know whats funny, during last nights game when we were down by 7 in the 4th, I thought to myself, "this is where the magic want to be."

We then went on a 8-0 run and took the lead.

We play well even through adversity, this group is resilient and tough. Other teams would have lost lasts nights game by 14 after blowing a 15 point lead, they would have been mentally drained. Indeed we had our mouments, but we had a fantastic oppurtunity to win the game.

This club is growing before our eyes, the playoff experience is valuable. For Jameer, Howard, Turk, and even Lewis, if these are our corner stones, you must feel good that in their first season together there competing tooth and nail.

THe important aspect and the truth of the NBA playoffs at this level or round, is that no one can be counted out. This is the 3rd seed vrs. the 2nd seed. Either is very cable of winning the series.

That was proven in the fact that game 2 and 4 came down to the last posession.

The Magic are being counted out by everyone, and I mean everyoneeeee now. But like I said before, this is where they want to be. One game at a time, and yes they took our soul last night, but this is why its a 7 game series. We have 3 games to return the favor.

Obviously we are a growing team and for fans who've been through some of the crap we have recently, just being in the second round and being competitive is huge. I am very pleased with this season. But I think this series is over.....

If we had won last night, I honestly think we had a chance...I think the Pistons would probably have fell apart. Now I think they smell blood and they're too experienced to let this slip...

i'm pulling for it. But it's a very long shot. The only reason I think it's even remotely possible is because we've lost two very close games, and we're a very good road team. The ball bounces our way a little more and we're up 3-1 so we'll see what happens.

We'll see if Jameer's guarantee holds up, and if so we CAN win Game 6. And in Game 7 anything can happen.

It's unlikely. But my god...how good of a story would that be. To return the favor to the Pistons.

Either way, it's been a great season. I'm hoping it continues at least 1 more game. But if not, i'm proud of this team. I think all Magic fans should look back to October and remember what we said. 2nd Round was considered the goal and a successful season. Mission Accomplished. We'd love to go further of course. But let's be honest, we were facing the 2nd best record in the league.

Orlando was above average on the road this year, one road win in Detroit puts the pressure on the Pistons to win in Orlando. We have played very well at home and need to think about one win at a time.

Many experts have said a 3-1 lead could always turn into a disaster. One tough road win for the road team in game 5, a dominant performance at home for game 6 and the underdogs have the momentum going into game 7.

Billups is a big part of this series, however Detroit is at its best as a team. The team beat us today. Its very rare a Piston player goes for over 30 points.

Hamilton did it today, however usually the Pistons could win efficiently with every player scoring consistently so it proves that we must stop the team and not just settle with one player being absent because every component of the Pistons is a weapon. Hence Prince was mr. Big shot today.

Team Defense, and better rebounding starts our fast break. We must always be on attack mode. We can do it, its not over. Our guys have heart.

Howard needs to get more touches so he can consistently be aggressive on defense, but the goal for us must be to average at least 25 points a quarter. Anything over a 100 points for the game gives us a great chance to win.

We can do it. Two games have been decided by the last play of the game. We are 0-2 in those situations. However let it be known we can compete with these guys. One or two big shots in those two losses and we have a 3-1 lead, so we can indeed win 3 games to upset the Pistons.

Have faith.

I for one truly think this should be a 2-2 series. If it was I would with all confidence say we will win this series. But its not we are down 3-1. We competed with them. Pistons are the BEST team in the east and we were neck to neck with them. That in itself is very very satisfying for me.

Now that said, I still think we are a capable team to beat them.
If we pull a win tomorow, we will push this to 7. I am all optimistic we can win tomorow. Heck we could have won 3of the past 4 games.

GO MAGIC, BRING US HOME FOR GAME 6.

We had our chance and we blew it. 2 of our best players didn't show up and our best role player missed key free throws down the stretch.

I really doubt we can muster up a come back of legendary magnitude. The Pistons did it, the red sox did it, but we don't have the talent or experience either one of those clubs had.

I'm hoping I'm wrong, I love my Magic as much as anyone else, but this is an uphill battle that I don't think we are yet ready to face

    Return to Orlando Magic
