Here's a question - what the hell are the Dolphins doing at QB? Are they keeping Daunte, trading for Green, signing Carr, and/or drafting a guy in the first round?

Personally, I think they need to cut DC, sign Carr, and use one of their first day picks on a Quarterback...

I personally like the set of linebackers that Chicago has -- Briggs, Urlacher, Hillenmeyer.

Hopefully they will get close to full value for him, although I would wish they negotiate with him and try to keep him, but that's unlikely.

Also, I like what Tampa and Miami have done by adding some players that will improve both of their teams next year, although the QB situation is still in the air.

I saw some mocks that had Brady Quinn going 9th to MIA, but his stock has skyrocketted since his performance at the combine.

I dont think Culpepper is the long term solution for them. Carr wouldn't be a bad option, and adding a young talented QB from the draft would be a good start for them, IMO.

If they want a shot at Quinn, or JaMarcus Russell, they are likely going to have to move up.

And the Redskins are idiots if they cough up a #6 pick for late 1st and the rights to overpay Briggs through the nose.

:dontknow:

They really do save a lot on the cap if they get the 31st and Briggs, instead of signing whoever they draft with the 6th.

Since they're only $6 Mil under, and they need to fill in other roster spots, along with the draft picks they'll be making, which will roughly take up $3 to $5 Mil?

Man, I don't know much about the Bills, but seriously, they have to have some good young talent to be fire-selling all of their big time free agents.

I was thinking that too. Briggs is pretty good, and you have to overpay a sixth pick. Looking at the mock, sixth is probably gonna be a defensive player as best available, and Briggs is probably at least as good.
First the federal government borrowed money; then gave the money to Bank of America; then I borrowed some of that money from Bank of America and gave it to the federal government; then the federal government gave the money back to Bank of America.

If we had a need at LB, I'd do this Briggs trade in a heartbeat. But the problem is we already have two high priced and very good LB's in London Fletcher and Marcus Washington and we just traded up last year to select McIntosh early 2nd round.

This trade sucks.

Orlando Mare traded to the saints for a sixth round pick.

Mare sucked last year if I recall correctly though..
