I keep on asking but no one is answering me. Their play has been so horrid of late, I can't imagine they aren't hurt. Paul has been grabbing his hip a lot. I don't see Ray doing anything of that nature. Neither one is affective driving to the hole. They get there and it's like they don't have the lift to finish.
Now Paul hasn't been dunking the ball hard all year. But he always found a way to finish at the hoop. Now Ray, he is just horrible with the ball in his hands for an extended period of time. ray has been turning the ball over at an alarming rate when he does complete a pass inside, it's because of the receiver digging it off the court.
just my observations of the past few games. take it for what it is.

My question is why has Ray been tired? He hardly played the last 10 reg season games? He should be moving, flying off pics he just stands at 3 point line and waits for the ball.
You see Paul holding his hip often. I think they are both banged up and it's more that then LBJ's D on Paul affecting his play. IF they get bounced this round I say it's because Paul and Ray are hurting real bad.

you can say whatever you want but that doesn't make it right. if they get bounced this round or next or anything short of championship, it's becuase they weren't good enough to get it done. anything else is just an excuse.

Obviously Pierce hurt his hip in the Atlanta series but he said its fine so you have to leave it at that.

Paul Pierce suffered a lower back sprain and right hip sprain during the series against Atlanta. But Pierce said he feels fine despite having just one day off between series. "The back is doing a lot better," Pierce said. "The hip is a little sore from Game 6 in Atlanta. I don't think it will have an effect on me."

Ray and Paul had a lot more energy last series. They have to ramp it up. Being hurt is most definetly an exscuse for failing to win a championship.
Look back at the first year MIA had shaq. They should have been DET who won it all the year before. They were to banged up to finsih the job. That is a fact, not an exscuse.

Statistically this season, Ray Allen is a sharpshooter in the first quarter, and during the last two minutes of regulation/OT during close games (likely rested during timeouts).
In between, he is an okay shooter, but no better at all than just "okay."
His worst 3 pt shooting month was January - he averaged 39+ minutes per game - about as many minutes as he as averaged anytime recently in his career - for the third month in a row. Previous to that, he didn't shoot that much better. His second best performance came in February, averaging less than 37 mpg for the first time this season, and probably aided by the all star break despite having played in the game. His best month was April - averaging just more than 33 mpg for the second month in a row and sitting out at least a couple games.
In the playoffs, before going ice cold, he was back to averaging around 40 mpg. In these games he shot slightly above 40% - good but worse than he had been ahooting the past two months. Of games he played 40+ minutes, only one saw a good 5-8 3 pt shooting performance - but 2 of the 5 3s were hit in the first quarter, one in the 2nd, one in the 3rd, one early in the 4th - but none after that despite that we needed 3 pt shooting the most then.
That would all indicate to me that he's been at least a little tired all season long when Doc has played him more than X many minutes per game. I think his performance versus Cleveland is a combination of tiredness and good defense by Cleveland.
PP....he's just older, has been defended well, and has been called upon to exert a lot of effort on the defensive end. Its why I would prefer to see him guarding Lebron less.
