Its not just hypocritical; its impossible. One begets the other. Unless you think that all those hard-nosed defensive players are going to be just super with such a large advantage being given to the offensive players, and will simply go about their business as usual.

I hate floppers but the Spurs are the dirtiest team in the league so I don't mind Paul giving the Spurs a taste of their own medicine.
