Is J-Will going to back with the team next year? I think he's been a disappointment since he's been there...

Also, Quinn played pretty well towards the end of the season...

I highly doubt he'll be resigned, unless it comes at a very very low cost.

His 1st season wasn't as bad as his last 2 years have been. He was a vital piece in our Title Run, especially game 6 of the ECFs, where he started the game 10/10 and went on to be an integral part of that game alongside Wade/Shaq.

However, Daquean Cook showed that he's going to be a good player; Miami had an awful season, but he showed that he has the potential to be a solid player for them and was one of the few bright spots in what was an awful season for them.

He's a great athlete who's a good scorer as well.

He will fit in well with Spoelstra's up-tempo style of play next season.

I think Miami is going to be really good next year; much better than people expect.

They're young, they're athletic, they have some great players, and they will fit in well in an up-tempo system.

Also, if Zo returns, they're going to make it deep in the playoffs, in my opinion.

In hindsight, getting rid of Shaq was a good move for both of them.

They needed to get younger, and Shaq and this team just didn't work out together that well this season.

He didn't have enough 3 point shooting around him - Phoenix has great shooters at every positon - but his contract was a problem, he had a bad relationship with Riley, he wanted to leave, and it was best for both sides to move on.

Now Miami got younger and can rebuild around Wade and Shaq ends his career on a great team which has great shooters around him.

Also, to the poster who wondered whether losing Posey or Kapono was a bigger blow; I would say Posey because he's a much better defender.

I don't know. Marion/Wade/High draft pick should win a few games but looking at the rest of their team is like looking at an NBDL team. I think they miss the playoffs again because of lack of talent. I'd say a 34-48 win record. Actually, no, their team is really bad. More like 30-52. Or less than that.

How's the rest of their team bad other than Wade/Marion/High draft pick?

Haslem is one of the most under-rated players in the NBA, Quinn played really well towards the end of the season, and Cook showed signs that he's going to be a solid player in the NBA.

Also, Zo might come back next season.

You are looking at these potential starting line-ups next season; all which look pretty good.

Haslem - C

Beasley- PF

Marion- SF

Wade - SG

Quinn- PG

Or

Zo- C

Haslem- PF

Marion- SF

Wade- SG

Rose- PG

Those are two really good teams; and one of them is probably going to be their starting line-up next season.

Riley has done well drafting in the lottery for them since he's been there having drafted Caron Butler and Dwyane Wade.

Chad Ford just mentioned today that he thinks Riley will choose Derrick Rose over Beasley if he gets the # 1 pick.

Apparently Riley is very high on Rose and thinks a Wade/Rose back-court will be amazing.
