I wish we had Carlisle

You should become a Mavs fan. Then you'll be happy when the Mavs go 46-36 next year. Maybe.

Better then the 36-46 Doc would give them

(Thats just a random guess, bottom line is I think Carlisle would give them more season wins but even more importantly more PLAYOFF wins than Doc)

The thing that annoys me most about Doc is...

His refusal to adjust to in game situations. As a fan, I feel like I know what they are going to do everytime down the court. They get in one of two different sets and run their play. The plays have few options and if the D can deny a pass or two the shot clock starts dwindling down and, low and behold, they throw up a junk shot that results in a fast break.

I just don't feel like the Celtics have many plays to get easy baskets.

It seems like every single shot is contested. Maybe players aren't running the plays as hard or as well as they need to.

But when I, as a fan, can tell you what play they are running in the 1st five seconds of a set, then something is wrong...

Just out of curiosity do u dislike any coach to ever coach an nba team?

Yeah, I really dislike micromanager coaches, like Carlisle and Brown. As much as I hate to send out the Gonzo mating call, it is a players league. If players can't figure out what to do on the court when things aren't going well, then in the end they aren't going to get anywhere. They have to be able to play thru it. If there are correctable flaws it's one thing, but if it's just players not playing hard enough, then someone out there has to take charge and get their intensity up. Bringing them to the sideline and saying "c'mon guys lets play harder" isn't going to cut it. This is the NBA, not college. These guys have to take some responsibility when things are going bad.

The winningest coaches have generally been hands-off during games. Jackson, KC Jones, not that I was around to see it but I hear Red let his players play.
