if he didnt wait until 2 sec, then the refs might of called it a foul..you know how it goes, the refs usually eat the whistle that late...it being an ugly shot didnt help either

meh...play better basketball in the third and it's a non issue...take a time out to make proper adjustments before the other team can run a successful 15-0 stretch and it's a non issue...

They played well at the end of Game 4, not so much in Game 2, IMO. They got bailed out in Game 2, but not really in Game 4, IMO.

Yeah...refs usually don't call fouls in that situation. Whether or not it's right or wrong is up for debate, but we all know more likely than not the refs aren't going to give the benefit of doubt to the shooter.

Bingo.

1) Movement 2) Application of fundamentals 3) Predictability

I did see reff raise his hand up. My first reaction was it's a foul. I just was not sure what his call will be - offensive or block. When reffs went to watch replay I hoped that what they will be looking at. Unfortunetely, this time even with the review they messed up. SVG has every right to be pissed.

I'm surprised to see Stan go to that.

He's a smart guy and not the only smart guy to protest calls after the fact. It does several good things that can help the team in the next game, like get the refs to call the plays closer and get the monkey off the back of the player. I don't mind it at all.

About the conspiracy theory, I'd hate to believe it. But watching the Jazz/Lakers game made me cringe. The T on Okur for fist pumping was a joke and NONE of the late game calls went Utah's way. Hmmm... We really need to revamp the entire NBA management and referee crew. I just think after the whole fiasco last year with the gambling ref that there is just no room for trusting these guys. Sad but true. (Sorta).

Good point mhec, it probably mostly had to do with Stan trying to keep attention off of Hedo.

Why ? We didn't lose because of Hedo.He is the one who gave us a winning chance in the first place.Rest of the team and coach is as guilty as Hedo I think. Nelson missing that FT , Dwight sucking all day long , Shard disappearing the second half , Dooling...

Looking for a scapegoat are we ? :wavefinger:

I'm with eyriq...conspiracy... I just think it's weird that after Donaghy said he was gonna give out the names of twenty refs that had been gambling we never heard another word about it. Yeah Donaghy's gone, but those other twenty refs are still out there making lots of money and ruining ball games. You'd think the NBA would work harder to try and figure out who they were but I'm not so sure David Stern isn't in on it. How else do you explain Donaghy's silence and the calls that have consistently gone for the big market teams this postseason? If I was a casual fan the bad officiating would be enough for me to quit watching basketball.

Actually, I think that SVG may be "politicking" by making his statement.

It's just a gentler ($$$$) way of saying he thinks the magic are getting screwed.
