Dwight was supposed to step up his defense this year and he sure did, congrats Dwight. The only things left for Dwight now is the All-Media team!

Great to have Dwight on there, next season I expect to see him on the first team.

The thing that stands out to me, not really surprises...but stands out, is that we have no other players receiving votes. Most of the other good teams in the NBA have atelast 2 guys on there getting votes. We need to go out and get a defensive PG to backup Jameer...as well as an enforcer to play PF off the bench.

He usually shows up ... but then slowly fades away because of his irritation at the refs for not making calls.

Notice his performance in Game 4 - he came out trying to block everything. iirc his only block came within the opening minutes of the game. Eventually he became less and less of a factor.

I really think he should get first team this year. Camby's defensive stats outweigh his actual defensive impact. IMO Dwight has a much bigger defensive impact than Camby. I would actually take Chandler's defense over Camby.

Surprised to see Paul get the second team. I think he deserves it but expected Billups to get the nod.

Battier should probably be first team. Here he is candidate for DPOY but is bypassed by Bruce Bowen for first team defense.

Raja Bell should not be on all-defense this year. His defense is some of the most overrated in the NBA.

I think what we really need is a dominant perimeter defender that can knock down open 3's once and a while. Think Raja Bell.

I though Mo Evans or Bogans could be that guy, but both just either aren't that focused on defense or can't keep. This is why opposing SG's go off on our team (ie. Rip, Kapono).'

We need a guy with that defensive mentality, that doesn't need touches on offense.

Dooling is our best perimeter defender right now, but ruins any offensive chemistry we have. Any FA's that anyone knows about that could fill that role?

Dwight shows up.. nobody accuses Duncan of not trying when he has off days.. Detroit is just shutting him down.. I think Dwight only not tried during one game this season.. and thats when SVG called him out

IMO I woulda put Dwight on the 1st team, and Sheed as the starting C on the 2nd team.

Camby is extremely overrated as a man to man defender and his team is a poor defensive team. Yea he gets a lot of blocks but he usually swats them out of bounds rather than try to keep the possesion.

Very nice. Only the 2nd Magic player to ever make an All-Defensive team. Horace Grant made the 2nd team in 95 and 96.

No Magic player has ever made the 1st team.

Dwight will be kind of like Duncan, a lock for all nba and all defensive teams for the next 10 years. Let's be patient, he will lead us to a championship before he turns 25. Nostrajmezzy says so

Congrats Dwight. I think he takes it next year, mostly cause i think Camby is going to take a step back and not be as good and Dwight's bpg will actually go up (or at least i'm hoping).
