No dude, he was clearly in pain throughout the whole game.

You guys have a history of whining (not sure about this playoffs), so why are you dumbfounded?

If your claims of Laker fans having a history of whining were to be true, why are you so concerned about it happening if/when they lose? THey have a "history" of whining, right? If true, why would it be any different this time around?

To be honest, the only one thats doing the whining is yourself.

Not trying to insult you or anything like that, but looking at it through a birds eye view, your comments seem kinda foolish.

I think this game 5 will be reminiscent of Michael Jordan's flu game vs. Jazz where Kobe won't be effected by the back. He will just play through it and do whatever he has to to win the game.

i will rather have a flue than a bad back :)

What if Kobe purposefully faked the injury, played a mindboggling OT and acted the whole back thing in the conference, interviews, so he can drop a 50/14/19 on 92% shooting on Wednesday in a 134-67 Lakers win and the game being forever remembered as "the back game"!

Because he spits hot fire!

Now if someone actually records in a videocam Kobe claiming he faked his injury just to have a "back game" what will now the haters of KB say?

He has a back injury, and it is painful. If it doesn't heal up right by gametime, he'll have his points and assists but it'll be terribly inefficient.

im not questioning the injury hes got a back injury. my philosophy tho is if it hurts that bad sit out. stop rolling around all over Energy Solutions Arena like you got branded with a shovel. its embarrassing. all he does is milk and sulk, milk and sulk. its childish.

but he seriously has the injury haha.

Knowing Kobe he will make gestures in game 5 like it is just killing him .I don't think it is as serious as he is trying to show.Does anyone remember his heavy breathing(!)after hitting the clutch shot against Spurs (the 0.4 game)I remember Bill Simmons made fun of him after that.

Seriously, who the hell breathes heavy at the end of a tight playoff game. That faker!

Bill Simmons is an admitted Laker hater Celtic ball sniffer, so take what he says with a grain of salt.

Bill Simmons, like many New England sports fans, would willingly take it up the ass from Tom Brady, KG or Big Papi.

Kobe milks it, I think, with some extra exaggerated grimacing, but it's obviously a legitimate injury that clearly hampered him somewhat during the tail end of Game 4.

We won't know the extent of it until Game 5 tomorrow. I'm not sure what goes into the "'round the clock treatment," but considering he's one of the highest-paid, highest-profile players in recent NBA history, the Lakers will obviously spare no expense or tactic in getting his back game-ready.
