Best coaching hire?

Post#1 » by triplet1984 » Mon May 12, 2008 11:11 pm

Charlotte Bobcats - Larry Brown

Milwaukee Bucks - Scott Skiles

Dallas Mavericks - Rick Carlisle

New York Knicks - Mike D'Antoni

Chicago Bulls - nobody  (ironically, aside from Skiles, for obvious, any of the other 3 would have made good hires for the Bulls)

Who's made the best coaching move so far?

I like Rick Carlisle coaching Dallas the best, Larry Brown coaching Charlotte a close second.

i honestly think that brown can make the bobcats an eastern conference threat. ive always thought theyve had so much talent but they lacked something, maybe it was a coach?

best of luck to brown, bobcats are one of my favorite teams after the Jazz

Yeah, but he's never coached an NBA game. I think, for the time being, that means he doesn't deserved to be mentioned with the Larry Brown's and Rick Carlisle's until he proves he belongs with them...

I've got to say, I really like the Charlotte hire. He's going to teach those kids what it means to win in this league...

Carlisle is the best fit of all of them. Skiles and D'Antoni have a lot of work to do with teams that don't fit what they do. Brown could be a good hiring depending on what happens with the Bobcats.

I think that the d'antoni hiring will be good for the knicks in the long run. right now they don't even need to have a good team. that is how far the bar has been lowered by isiah. i'm sure he could double attendance just by making an exciting team.

i think in a few years once they mold the team to him, it will really start to pay off.

Knicks and here is why. Most of the players on that team aren't going to be there long term, but now they have stability in the front office and on the bench. There is now no finger pointing, it comes down to the players.

i'll go with the knicks because of who d'antoni replaced. getting rid of thomas is already a huge improvement.

While I'm not a fan of Larry Brown, I feel he's going to get the Bobcats attention, and move the team towards the right direction. He now has players that are going to lesson and he's on a mission to prove the doubters wrong.

Rick Carlisle should be fine. The problem is Dallas needs to make some changes and improve many areas of the team. Rick should balance things out and I just hope the players respect him. Cough - Josh Howard -

Scott Skiles has his work cut out for him. I do feel he was a good choice and he's a very good fit for a team like Milwaukee. He's going to enjoy coaching the youth here even if it's frustrating at times. The future looks brighter!

Carlisle is a horrible coach.

I'm gonna go with Brown, even though IMO is overrated.
