Who's more valuable? A specific Knicks poster thinks its a joke to compare Jose Calderon to David Lee.

Pretty much. Calderon plays a more needy position, Calderon is more talented, both are about the same age, Calderon's numbers are superior, Calderon is being sought out by many teams, Lee, not so much.

I say Calderon but this "easily" business neglects to note that Lee is a double-double guy given decent minutes and that's pretty valuable.

well yea the gap is a lot closer than wat ppl are makin it out to be, Lee is a guy that every team in the league would love to have due to his ability to do the dirty work

Or close to it, yes, but as Wes_Wesley noted, the raw numbers are not the point. The fact that he's basically an energized version of the Junkyard Dog is on what I'm focusing; that rebounding is huge and he's not as weak offensively as was Jerome.

Calderon is a very talented playmaker who has turned himself into a great shooter, which is awesome and exceedingly valuable but Lee's contributions make this at least a stew-stirrer rather than an easy decision.

I'de take Calderon. They both have their flaws, but Calderon can make the entire teams offense function which imo is harder to come by then a good rebounder.
