I love the way Parker and Gino have been playing at home, they need to bring that same level of play to New Orleans. If we win game 5 in NO, we win the series.

Finley, Bowen, Barry, and Horry have to continue hitting their shots. I think Duncan will fully recover for Game 4. We should retain the game plan that won us Game 3. Byron will make defensive adjustments. New Orleans's offense rests on the shoulders of Chris Paul and his playmaking. I expect us to kill it in Game 4.

Is anyone else here worried about Scott going to a zone. The Spurs haven't seen one for a while, and from what I recall they seem to struggle with it.

I can see them being prepared for it

Unless my eyes deceive me, they played a 1-2-2 for a bit, last game.

From Charley Rosen's article on the game:

"Late in the 2nd quarter they jumped into a 1-2-2 matchup zone that took the Spurs by surprise and led to a shot-clock violation. However, on the next two possessions, the Spurs dissected the zone for a layup and then an open mid-range jumper."

^ Yeah, that's what I meant... didn't know about breaking it the other two times, though

So, the zone factor probably isn't something too much to look out for. Like I said, if Scott tries it multiple times, I think the Spurs should be ready for it.

I am thinking Hearns/Leonard....

We are blowing it.... we are blowing it. We need to go out there an knock the SOB out if we want to win.

I would be shocked if Game 7 was a blow-out.

Yes, there have been quite a few G7 blow-outs in recent years, but this is still a different series. And, I was suprised some of those routs.

Sorry, but this year is not the year of SA. This year has been crazy, with lots of surprises and semi-surprises. No way that SA gets to the finals this year, that would be too common.
Hornets will beat the Spurs in 5!

Game 1 - Hornets win by 10-15 points
Game 2 - Hornets win by 1-4 points
Game 3 - Spurs win by 9-12 points
Game 4 - Hornets win by 5-8 points
Game 5 - Hornets win by 6-10 points

You haven't posted in a little while here, not since G2..

Specifically with that scenario, you're wrong, but generally partially you could be right with the Hornets winning game 7.

I think it'd be strange if you disappear in the case things are completely off.

Big win for us las tnight, loved the way we played for the most part. Manu was just on fire! Anyways game 7, it's ALL about the 3rd quarter. we have to stay in the game for us to have any chance of pulling it out.

Great game 7. NO gave us all we could handle, but I'd like to think that our championship poise finally re-surfaced near the end.

And after all that, our reward is to face the #1 seed, with the league MVP, on 1 day of rest...THANKS! :P

Did Janerro Pargo blow the game?

Was Jannero Pargo's gunnerism hurting the team or was Pargo the Hornets' Game 7 MVP?

New Orleans is a great team. They will rule the Western Conference. Paul is the best PG in the game. They were tough.

I'm proud of the Spurs. History was against us and we won even though history said otherwise. We knew that our series against Dallas was a dagger in the heart and played like champs in the pivotal Game 7. It was devastating to overcome a 3-1 series deficit and a 20 point deficit in Game 7 and lose the game at home.

The difference in Game 7 was our experience and confidence. We had our series against Dallas to motivate us. New Orleans is a new team and had nothing.

Karma is a bitch. We lose Game 7 at home. We win Game 7 on the road.

The greatest rivalry in this era is commencing. The Lakers killed us in their title run but we stopped them in their tracks from a 4-peat. We are still terrified and shocked by the .4 Fisher shot and he is back in the Lakers. This will be the greatest WCF between the two dynasties that ruled this era.
