Why don't Celtics win on the road?

Post#1 » by Boognish » Tue May 13, 2008 6:52 pm

Boston is now 0-5 on the road in the playoffs. Why? Do they get complacent after winning at home and come out soft? Or can they not handle pressure of winning a road playoff game? Or will these road struggles pass?

one reason i can think of is they had things wrapped up in the east pretty fast and than doc was resting his players. Celtics look rusty on the road especially their offense. They did have 7 games against the hawks so they should be back on track again but for some reason ray allen looks like he is done in this league.

maybe celtics aren't so that good, no offense here, but they beat hawks in 7 games, and now have a even serie with CAVS, any team of the west can beat those 2 teams in maximum 5 games....

Possibly..

Pierce, Garnett and Allen are players that I don't associate winning with... Sure, KG pounds his chest and screams, but the guy disappears a lot... He doesn't demand the ball on the block, and in some cases is soft...

Pierce makes some of the dumbest decisions I have seen from a star player when it comes to late in the game shot selection..

Love Ray Allen, but he needs to be setup... He really isn't capable of creating for himself..

But at the end of the day, that team is running with a 2nd year PG that can't shoot the ball, and isn't really a threat...When you limit his creating ability (since he's the only that can on that team besides Pierce a little) and you make him more of a scorer, you start to see their true weaknesses..

And it almost bit them in the ass in game 1 at home... (LBJ doesn't usually miss layups) Make no mistake about it, the Celtics are beatable at home...

Yeah man, totally. Ive seen a pattern too, that usually when a team outscores you, you lose

Use the Cavs/C's Series Thread.

Thanks
