Al Horford has regained my respect.

You realize that Horford statisically is a mediocre player. Is PER is 14.7 which is below the league average. I'm sure he will be better in the future but these statements are crazy. He is compariable to guys like Nick Collison, Chris Wilcox. He isn't as good as Biedrins right now. He is better than Kendrick Perkins but not by that much right now.
Seriously who do you think Horford compares to right now. Tim Duncan maybe. Perhaps Dwight Howard. Kendrick Perkins put up 8 points 7 rebounds 2 blocks in 25 minutes against Horford. Thats better per minute stats than Horford. I guess Kendrick Perkins could outplay him but no way Chris Wilcox or Nick Collison.

Al Horford 12.6, 10.4, 3.6 - PER 19.4
Kendrick Perkins 7.6, 6.4, 0.4 - PER 14.5
Umm Yeah..
Perkins also averaged 2 blocks and did his numbers in about 25 minutes while Horford was playing about 40.
Game 7 10 10 and 5 blocks for Perkins in 26 minutes. Probably set the defensive tone for them going to the second round.

Perkins didn't play a lot of minutes because he couldn't match up with Horford and Smith. He was always in foul trouble. I think almost all of your posts in this thread have been factually incorrect.

I think i'll take Horfords production thank you very much.
You seem to forget horford was doing it against the best defensive team which happened to have the best record overall.
For rookie to play that well and almost eliminate the best team in the first round is nothing short of amazing, stop hating.

I think every post you made has been completely Hawk fan bias. Like you say he was always in foul trouble. Funny because in 6 of the 7 games he never had more than 3 fouls. He didnt play a lot of minutes because KG can slide over to Center. I don't remember Perkins having to guard Smith very much if at all. What I do know is lets look at Perkins impact so far in the playoffs.

I'll take those defensive numbers thank you.
Horford couldn't do nothing against Perkins when he was in the game. Horford did major damage when the Celtics put a smaller man on him but Perkins flat out outplayed him when they were matched up.

38% efg and a 13 PER.
Horford's PER was 20. Granted he was asked to cover KG some.
Now lets take a look at Horford's on court off court

He wasn't out of the game very much so you can't say to much.
Fact is like I said he was out played at the center spot when Perkins was in the game

Richboy is a joke. Why do people respond to that guy?
He basically bashes every single player on the Hawks and has the audacity to say it was no surprise that the Hawks took the Celtics to 7 games.
As far as Horford goes, how could anyone lose respect for a player showing youthful exuberance.
Al Horford has the genuine love for the game that is lost sometimes in these days where the focus is put all on the money

Guess they hurt the team too, huh?
I said you can't say much because he wasn't out of the game much. Perkins however who only played half the game showcases the drastic difference and how he effected the game.
Yes. I was not shocked the Hawks took the Celtics 7. I said before if I was the Celtics I rather play the Pacers. The Pacers are a better team but there more conventional. IMO the Hawks could attack the Celtics biggest weakness which was foot speed and athleticism. Now I wont say its not a surprise but there was no shock for me.

Horford was the only unanimous selection to the post-season rookie team this year so apparently NBA coaches agree that he earned their respect as well.

I guess starting a new thread would have been much better.
I think you probably just don't like being reminded that everyone seems to respect the guy's game a lot more than you.
This has nothing to do with what was going on in the playoffs. Which this thread is about.
