No-one has pointed out that D Antoni guided the Suns to several 50+ win season, and playoff appearances, yet the organization was OK with him moving-on. D Antoni had achieved all that he could achieve with the current Suns squad. D Antoni and Steve Kerr were not satisfied spinning their wheels in-place, & something had to change for them as an organization. Time to move-on.

Excellent point and this applies also to the Shaq trade. But that's the difference between teams that will accept nothing less than a title and those who just want to avoid the lottery, as some here feel is the attitude of the Wizards and at least part of their fan base.

The big concern for Phoenix is did they wait too late? Yes they saved money by not firing D'Antoni but while he was negotiating with the Knicks most of the other established coaches found jobs with other teams. Avery Johnson and JVG are the only names of note still on the market and the Bulls already have a head start. I doubt they'd go with a rookie like Mark Jackson.

I agree that Curry isn't the best center in the league but Toronto lacks size and post scoring. Curry has both so I can see why they'd be interested

After Bosh called out his teammates at the end of last season, as well as saying publicly Bargs had to get better, what's the over/under on him putting Curry on blast if they were to pick him up?

Agreed though, they need a big man to put next to Bosh, and they'd be insane to keep TJ over Calderon with TJ's injury history. I just don't see the solution being Curry.

Phoenix was nearly swept in the first round. It seems to me that the lesson here is that good teams shouldn't make rash decisions under the pretense of "accepting nothing less than a title".

I've got a good feeling that firing D'Antonio will backfire as well.

Word is that the D'Antonio situation had more to do with some very real differences between he and GM Kerr than it had to do with the Suns not winning a title...or even losing to the World Champs in the first round.
