Felton is one of the biggest losers in this league...
Loss Shares
2005-06 NBA 26 (7th in the league)
2006-07 NBA 30 (3rd in the league)
2007-08 NBA 28 (3rd in the league)
Can Felton outscore Ford and Calderon in the playoffs (like Nelson did)? No.
Can Felton shoot better than Nelson? No.
Does Felton possess any leadership qualities like Nelson? No.
Tell me one thing Felton does significantly better than Nelson. None.
Give me Nelson any **** day.

Not by much.
Nelson
AST%: 31.1
Usage%: 19.0
Felton
AST%: 32.4
Usage%: 20.8
And factor in that he's been played at SG because Vincent was a moron. He hasn't had a good coach yet to help him teach him how to run an offense. This upcoming season will be his breakout year.

You can make the same excuse for Nelson as well. Orlando splits the ball-handling role between Nelson and Turkoglu.
Larry Brown will improve Felton's game. We'll see if he breaks out next year.

well Hedu is their best playmaker. Playing Felton at SG so Brevin Knight and Jeff Mcginnis can play 25+ mpg is stupid. Plus while Jameer is playing off the ball, that highlights his strengths (shooting and scoring), playing SG magnifies Felton's weaknesses (shooting).
Felton is the better set up man, while Nelson scores better. Next year Felton will finally be playing under a legit nba level head coach. If this discussion between the two is still relevant (and even close), declare Felton a bust.

If you are looking at this season it is not close but in favor of Ray...Also, Ray is one tough kid, not sure about him losing that toughness battle either...doubleC 0725 wrote:I mean clearly it's at least close...
don't base on on success because Howard/ Lewis/ Turk > Okafor/ Richardson/ Wallace

Felton looks ok no a star but he's more of a PG then Nelson who plays like a stronger and slightly taller version of Earl Boykins .
Nelson is an NBA starter, and an above average one. So, that kind of makes no sense.

No one of his size should be an NBA starter unless you're an superstar .
He's just a liability and he can play with as much heart as he wants he'll allways get problems on the defensive end .
Hell he might be 15/7 guy somewhere down the road but every decent opposing PG will post 20/10 on him
And just because he's starting on the Magic doesn't mean he would start on any other playoff team . Hell even some lottery teams have better PG's .

Jameer is not a great defender, but he is no liability either. He gives better on offense than he takes on defense. Denver, a playoff team, would kill for Jameer as their PG.
