Roy is excellent. However, they will win the title with Oden(if healthy) in the next 2-3 years. An elite center like Oden comes around once a decade.

Centers 10x >>>> SG

Oden has yet to play a single game in the NBA..............Let's not associate him with eliteness until he at least registers something in the boxscore other than 0s across the board.

This thread is like the perfect level of dumb. Dumb enough to get replies, but not dumb enough to get locked. This thread still makes no sense.

Ok, first of all, T-Mac is 6-10 (according to Garnett) and listed 6-9 on NBA.com...

I hope that's a joke. There's no way that Garnett is an inch taller than McGrady.

Well Garnett is about 7'1 in shoes, but I doubt McGrady is over 6'9.

Even if a player isn't "better" C' are still more valuable due to the lack of them. The gap between Kobe and Lebron over guys like Wade, Tracy, Carter, Pierce ETC, is much smaller than the gap between say Yao and Howard over the next tier of guys. Now place a truly elite center in the league, Ala Shaq, or Hakeem, and the gap looks really wide right now.

How big you play is more important than how big you are. [/thread]

Yea, everybody knows Portland is going to get automatically worse when Oden comes in.Freak athlete 7 footers with great footwork, top shelf defense and a good offensive game come along all the time. Oden = most replaceable player in the game.
