I didn't even think LeBron was going to score 20, he was doing such a great job of finding open men for easy shots. That no look underneath to Smith was fabulous. Wherever LeBron goes, so goes the defense so when Gibson and Wally are hitting there really is nothing that the Celtics can do.
I must admit, I didn't expect the Cavs to win this series. But at least now I see that there is a possibility. What's funny is that eventhough I didn't expect the Cavs to win I knew that the Celtics fans were being way too cocky about believing that the Cavs would get beat down. The problem against the Spurs is that the entire team went on a shooting slump at the same time. As long as we can score reasonably well our defense will keep us in the game. By the way, Z didn't even shoot very well last night.
Great game 4 win - Go lebron Go

Mentally I was prepared getting swept by the Wizards when these playoffs started. I can't believe I'm that dumb even after watching LBJ since SVSM. It's amazing how he continues to git r done time and time again. Ironically the Celts seemed to have the same condescending attitude toward the Cavs that Detroit did last year and this series just may be identical in outcome. Playoff BB is a lot different than regular season and while most of the Cavs realize that, I just don't think many Celts do. It's amazing how close this series is to being 3-1 if we could have stolen that first game. Celts should have realized that LeBron played probably his worst ever playoff game and they barely escaped. If the Cavs win game 5 it's over. If Celts win game 5 I wouldn't be surprised if they didn't start looking forward to the Finals and we steal game 7.

I honestly believe Hughes would've made a difference in games 3 and 4 against the spurs with his d on parker. Both those games were winable but whatever, water under the bridge...

Not sure how much youve watched the Celts much this year but Pierce has been great on defense all year. You obviously dont like Pierce but to say he sucks on defense is just flat out wrong, he always had the ability to be a great defender and this year he has been just that. So far this series he is doing a great job keeping Lebron infront of him. When Posey is in they have a bigman help everytime Bron touches the ball but with Pierce it has been more 1 on 1 because for some reason i dont understand Lebron is having a very hard time gettin gto the hoop against Pierce. It hurts Boston in a way though because PP is seemingly using most of his energy on defense and its wearing him down. It especially hurts down the stretch of games when PP would usually go to the hoop but instead the team is shooting mostly jumpers. On the other hand Bron is working hard on D and is still doing work on offense, he isnt shooting well but he is making things happen. Im just curious but how good is Lebrons postgame? With PP keeping him from driving i figured Mike Brown would of had Bron take him down into the post more where his size advantage would be more useful.
Both teams have held serve so far, as i Celts fan i think they should win the series with 2 of the last 3 being at home but the Cavs arent some terribly inferior team and i wouldnt be shocked in the least if you guys stole a game in Boston. Anyways im not here to troll at all or anything like that, your team has played great the last two games and good luck the rest of this series.

Ill reword it so it makes more sense as i know Pierce isnt truly defending him one on one. On the perimeter Pierce defends him one on one but once Bron gets inside 18 feet its 100% team defense. The thing with that is LBJ hasnt gotten to the hoop much when Pierce is on him, its when Posey is in that Bron has done most of his damage getting to the hoop.
Also, my first post wasnt trying to say PP was outplaying Lebron or anything like that, i was jsut trying to say he is a good defender and that i think he's done as good a job ob Lebron as someone can but of course you need team defense to shut down somebody like him.

Of course Pierce is sagging off--the Celtics gameplan is to entice Lebron into shooting long jumpers. They bring help to bracket him in, not allowing him to get to the baseline or get down the lane. The problem I see is that when Rondo is the help, he never gets back out to Boobie or West. When one of their bigs (usually Perkins) comes out to help, the Cavs are doing a great job of getting in behind him with Smith or Andy or even Wally, and that next rotation for the Celtics is inconsistent. That's one area where the trade has really helped the Cavs--Smith and Wallace both make that secondary rotation better than just about anyone, and it shuts off the strong side of the floor. That's why KG has trouble getting good looks, because he doesn't aggressively try to move around and get free.
Someone put up a Game 5 thread please...

It's not whether you win or lose, it's how good you look playing the game
