Assuming he gets traded.... he should at least be in a decent position becuase:
-Nobody expects anything of him, so anything positive (w/o too much negitive) will be a pleasent suprise.
-He is a huge expiring, so even if he doesn't work out fans can't be too upset becuase he will clear alot of capspace.
- And finally, he has been stuck playing for a team that he hates and teammates that he doesn't get along with. If put in a different situation where the system fits him, he could be quite a bit happier with both the front office and teammates, which translates to better success on the court.

PROS:
- He could be the 3rd scorer the team badly needs.
- As much as he loves the limelight, he needs to be out of it for a while. Playing with Yao and McGrady should take pressure off him.
- Alston is underrated, but Marbury is still more talented when his head's on straight.
- He's an expiring contract, so not a long-term commitment if he doesn't work out.
CONS:
- if he doesn't pan out, he's still expensive for the 1 year.
- Marbury & Francis together again
I don't think Marbury's as good for that team as Alston.
I think Marbury's expiring deal to Orlando for Rashard Lewis might work well.
Tre Johnson is the future of the Wizards.

Wherever Marbury goes, ITS A POWER MOVE. I'd like to see him packaged with Zach Randolph, considering he too was a POWER MOVE, and he's a left-handed southpaw that can hit the college 3, and if a perfect compliment to Marbury's game. We're talking about the best point guard in the world. Whether he plays for New York, or gets traded to Phoenix, or somehow winds up in Houston for The Starbury/Franchise II, he's going to be able to average atleast 20 points, 10 assists, and 10 dimes.

you should've heard Marbury at 'Antoni's press conference.
msg commenter: "what have you been up to Steph"
Marbury: "i've been running through mountains"
msg commenter: "mountains??"
Marbury: "yeah, getting my self in shape"
msg commenter: "where??"
Marbury: "LA .... the grand canyon, running up and down"
i may not be very accurate but he did say he ran through mountains.
