Is Hedo part of the Long Term Core?
The core is Howard/Shard/Nelson, all locked up for the next 5 years. Outside of those three lies the MIP, Hedo "The Assassin" Turkaglu. The question is then, do we trade him with the intent to move towards a more traditional lineup, or do we keep him and either play him at the 3 with Lewis at the 4, play him at the 2 with Lewis at the 3, or bring him in off the bench as our version of Manu. The choice is yours, let your voice be heard!

I dont know man, most will say yes, some will say no, but the thing to remember is he's our biggest trading chip which is the most tradeable asset on our team that can get the most value back.
Ultimately, the choice is otis because he will have to make that decision.

Dwight Howard on his FT struggles:
"I just think everybody needs to stop talking about it," Howard said. "There's more to life than free throws."

God I hope he stays long term.
Yeah he had a horrible Detroit series, but he was carrying Rashard's load in the 1st Round when Rashard couldn't hit the side of a barn.

Oh, you mean the choice really isn't ours?

There are a few young PF's that I wouldn't mind him being traded for, but out side of that happening, I really, really, want him to be locked up long term.

Oh and I voted Hedo at the 2, slide Rashard to his natural 3 and pick up a PF via free agency/trade. We'll get an SG/SF in the Draft.

Hedo at the 2 hasn't really gotten much traction around here, but I think there is a lot of virtue to that move. It would really come down to how good a 4 we can find with the MLE, or trade for with spare parts.

So we move Rashard back to his natural position and move Hedo out of position?

Hedo is mobile enough to handle most SGs and Hedo doesn't have a position.

Hedo had a pretty bad first round too.

6'5 vs 6'10 ... for the most part the smaller guys are quicker. Ask Theif about this when he plays ball with KeBo.
It would be easier for them to strip the ball. But Hedo would be able to shoot over, but that takes away much of his game. He'd be able to post up, but that's not where he's comfortable.

I think that's the lesser of two evils. On offense the switch won't bother Hedo one iota. Some of the SGs he'll still beat off the dribble, others he'll just shoot over. The question is whether he can play defense at that position. I think he can for the most part. There are a few smallish SGs like Tony Allen whom he he has no chance of guarding. However, Hedo's perimeter/one-on-one defense is a lot better than given credit for, and I think his length will bother a lot of SGs. In fact, and I think I will catch a lot of flack for saying this, Hedo would have been our best bet guarding Rip Hamilton. Hedo covered him pretty much one whole game in last year's playoffs and Hamilton had by far his worst game of the series, shooting like 30%. He couldn't shoot over Hedo. The SGs that will toast him off the dribble still have to get the ball over Dwight. I really think that is the lineup we will see next year. If it doesn't work, then you change things.

His 2nd round wasn't very spectatular .. except for maybe 15 minutes in combined total.
I'm not trying to hate on him, but the regular season Hedo >>> post season Hedo.
Both SFs were, on the whole, sub par from what we've seen all year long.
