Kg is the big ticket
1. There has been alot of KG bashing about him not being clutch or "The man". I, personally, rather have my superstar pass the ball at the end of the game, then chuck up a low % shot.
2. Kg's stats tonight:
12-19 26pts, 16rb, 4ass, 3bs, 2stl
3. KG is the defensive player of the year, and always plays on both sides of the court.
4. KG provides intensity that the whole team gathers around, and is an inspirational leader.
You may think he is taunting, or trash talking. In reality he is a bit crazy. He talks to his team mates, refs, other team, to himself, to the crowd.
5. He doesn't stop. When Atlanta series went to game 7, he could not sleep. Stayed up thinking all night about next day's game, watching tapes.

He was fabulous and is without a doubt the C's best player.
Dwight Howard on his FT struggles:
"I just think everybody needs to stop talking about it," Howard said. "There's more to life than free throws."

You didn't read the original post.
#1) Odom doesn't provide the All-NBA First Team defense that Garnett does. So already Odom is 50% the player KG is.
#2) Odom doesn't provide the leadership and intensity of Garnett. Doesn't make team mates better.
#3) Kg is unselfish but shooting 55%+
#4) Kg has better all around #'s including blocks and steals.
There are at least 5 players that average better stats than KG. However, KG plays an impressive all-around game.

So when you combine #1 and #4 does that make Odom, like, 25% of the player KG is?
Also, INTENSITY is the new "intangibles"

What does this even mean? Do you even hear yourself talk? When has garnett made teammates better? Why are you talking about intensity as a plus when all he does is stare down scrubs in blow outs and dunk after drinkin the fuel of champions-Gatorade

Do you think it's a coincidence Rondo has played the best basketball of his career with KG? What about Perk? Powe? Do you think it's a coincidence Paul has become a great defender this season? If you do, then you just understand the game.
Rondo is in his second year, of course he's gonna improve. And I doubt Paul became a better defender through KG's tutoring but more likely he didn't have to spend all his energy on Offense and thus could focus on D. Playing for the team with the best record has sure motivated him as well instead of playing with a bunch of kids and winning 30 games.
PS: I'm not saying LO is better then KG or am comparing them.

Rondo has improved drastically. He plays very smart and with a lot of confidence. His shot has improved. He's still a damn good defender. Rondo gets a lot of his confidence and attitude from KG. You can see it when they play. Also the reason Paul doesn't have to spend all his energy on offense is anymore has a lot due with KG. KG has taken the pressure off of Paul, that allows Pierce to play more freely on offense and defense. That is making your team mates. From top to bottom the celtics are damn good defenders(except for a few). That is because KG has instilled this defensive mentality into the team, and completely made everyone elevate their game. Now maybe you're gonna tell me KG is an overrated defender....Cevap wrote:-= original quote snipped =-

Why not give credit to Rondo for upping his game? Why not credit the coach C's brought in to coach defense? I like KG too but come on now...
Edit. This Celtics team actually wants to win, as opposed to last year's team. Some fans see this turnaround and want to credit it all to Garnett...
