Post#1 » by 76ers76ers » Thu May 15, 2008 1:58 pm

I don't know if this rumor is already posted but I just saw the rumor on hoopshype. Just checking to see what you guys would give up to get him?

R. Jefferson
M. Williams(rookie contract)
J. Boone(rookie contract)
S. Swift(expiring)
NJ 1st Rd pick or whatever else they want.

for

Carmelo Anthony
Marcus Camby

Trade ID #4596684

A starting 5 with 4/5ths consisting of Camby, Carter, Anthony, and Harris will already be one of the best in both conferences. If i'm rod i do whatever it takes to get those two players in here.

If we get the Top 3 Picks, I am not trading that for Melo.

Sorry, I wouldnt trade those picks. My order would be Beasley, Rose and Bayless, RIP II. Yeah Bayless is short but he can shoot and I like the guys attitude. GIVE ME THE BALL!!!!!

If we dont get the top 3 picks, They can have the 10th, VC or RJ, KVH, and whatever else to make it work.

As much as I would rather throw VC their way, I must say this works for me.

I disagree with adding SWill. IMO he is going to be better then Boone unless he weeds up or gets injured.

EDIT: First round pick as long as it isnt TOP 3.

LOL @ SIC

As much as i'd like to throw Lawrence Frank off of a cliff, I must say this works for me too

I am praying to the higher being that this works out for us.

Honestly, i'd prefer to keep Boone because he is an ideal starter with Camby/Anthony/Carter/Harris, but Sean has the potential to do big things for this franchise if he works hard.

Either way, i won't shed a tear if we have to give up one or the other, its a win/win either way.

Wow, Im getting really excited about possibly getting Carmelo and Camby, more so about Camby. That trade posted earlier is a definite go for me, even though Boone is my favorite player.

Conspiracy Thoery No 927.

Stern has told Thorn he can't have the third pick but he can have Melo and camby. Thorn sighs and says ok. Thorn gets on the phone to Denver and says
"yeah just calling in regards to that trouble making forward of yours, No not K-Mart the other one, What's his name? Caramel? I know he is not much of a player but I've got this number 21 draft pick you can have and I've got my eye on this euro wiz kid maybe you could have him. I'll do you another favour and take that ageing injury prone centre off your hands too. I've got these two players ready to bust out. Have you heard of swift and diop? Sure i'll have to do a sign and trade with diop but hey i'm feelin generous.
Man with those trades Denver will be huge next year."

Denver GM: So your saying Melo for your 21st pick and camby for swift and diop?

Thorn" uh-huh"

Denver GM: "man I'd be crazy not to do this deal. especially if these guy's you mention are the real deal. Where do I sign?

Deal is done.

Denver gm rings thorn 5 mins later
"hey Rod almost forgot who was that euro kid you were talkin about?"

Thorn:"Yeah great young kid plenty of potential he may not enter the draft this year but his name is Zoran Planninic. I'll give you his agent's number. gee I'm generous.

Denver GM: Thanks Rod. (whispers 'sucker')

Click.

And another chapter is written in Rod "the GM Mugger" Thorn's book.
Can Frank coach the kids?

That is what the Toronto GM said before we sent them Zo, Aaron, Eric, and whatever draft pick for VC.

It was actually two draft picks. One was selected as Joey Graham and the other they traded to the Knicks in which they selected Renaldo Balkman. But yeah, I would sig that if Melo comes to NJ.

Just say No to Melo. This guy's a cancer and a loser. He's not even that good of a basketball player, no defense, no passing, just inconsistent scoring. He's not worth it.

I don't even want Melo from Denver, he is the desert for me. Camby is who I want. We will actually have a 1st tier big man except for 5 2nd tier big men.

Return to Brooklyn Nets
