I don't know whether LeBron is embelleshing calls for the refs benefit, but I can say he does it less than the majority of stars in the league and he really does get fouled more than just about anyone (since he drives more than any of the others).

Ive watched close to all of Pierces games and I barely see him flop, dont get me wrong he loves to complain about calls but he doesnt flop, from what Ive seen with Bron is that if u breath on him u get called for a foul. During the Boston series I have seen some calls go Bostons way and that has shocked me.

Do you guys have any updates on Gibson? ESPN said it was a shoulder contusion but it looked more serious than that. I've separated both shoulders and my reaction both times was similar to Boobie's. That's my guess but I'm no expert. What is your guys PG rotation if Gibson is out? Does Sasha run the backup point spot or does Damon Jones get some run?

Damon likely gets some run or they can give Devin more run and LeBron handles the ball more.

Paul Pierce for years, and I mean years, always snaps his head back on everyone of his drives to draw fouls..Mainly when he goes left..

He's flopped several times in this series... Posey plays legit straight up defense as does Rondo, but Pierce flops...

The worst though is that snap head move on his drives...

He never gets calls on those, plus I wouldnt call them "flops"

Edit: He does look stupid doing it though lol, as a Boston fan I always yell FOUL but never get one

Great Gibson is out 1-2 weeks. So much for winning this series.

We just can't catch a break with the injuries this year

Yeah, I thought it looked like a shoulder separation (AC Joint). That is not fun at all. I had a first degree separation (just like Gibson) and it probably took me a month to get back. The third degree separation took me almost 4 months to get back 100%.

What the heck have you been doing to separate your shoulders so much?

Well, I have seen a few things touched on as to why we lost last night. BUT I havent seen anything on a huge point in the game that was totally mismanaged last night.

the Cavs were up 14 pointswith about 5 or 6 mins left in the first half when Lebron sat down for a break. the celts promptly hit a 3 and another basket. WHERE WAS THE FREAKIN TIMEOUT? why in the hell is miike brown saving timeouts in the first freakin half?

Then after Brown "forgets" to call a timeout to try to stop the Celts momentum and quiet the crowd, and settle his team down, the celts hit another three. timeout? NO NOT THE DEFENSIVE GENIUS COACH BROWN, he lets play go on and the celts hit another basket to cut the lead to 4.

Then mercifully there is a tv timeout and the defensive genius decides to put lebron back in. Too late though, the cavs lead by three at the half when they dominated for most of the first half.

So predictably the cavs go into their usual third qtr shell, and when the team starts getting lit up by the SAME FREAKIN PLAY 5 times consecutively the defensive genius does nothing. Why cant this team call a timeout to adjust to a simple pick and roll?

Why cant the defensive genius coach have someone whack the little runt who is driving through his defense ala tony parker? Does our genius defensive coach have amnesia? or is he incapable of learning the lesson he should have learned last year in the finals?

maybe he is just contemplating his next eyeglass modeling job. I have see enough of this coach to know that this team isnt going to get a championship with Brown as coach.

I agree with the timeout situation...I remember there was one point when I was screaming for a timeout....I dont remember if it was the same time or not...but the crowd was going nuts...the celts were on fire and yeah Lebron wasnt in the game and then the Cavs kick the ball out of bounds....yeah i think it was the same time you're talking about....it was crazy

Kioann15 wrote:that's the problem with the league and its fans nowadays. A somewhat harder foul on a player is an automatic flagrant. I really believe these cheap flagrant calls have taken away so much from the game since the 90's. Also Lebron always tries to make it seem like he gets hit on the face when he really just wants the refs to give him every call.

as long as the refs call it the same both ways then there will be no problem. Thats the real problem. You mention the old days but the old days didn't have the hard one on one contact on fast breaks with high flyers. They may have more in the trenches battles and physical play but the 'open field' attacks were not there as much until the bad boy days of the Pistons. The league got more atheltic and the league adjusted so that injuries would not happen.
Kwame Brown is servicable, get over it.

Fair point. There does seem to be less "intent to injure" in the open court and when a guy is exposed in the air. Even what Haywood did to Lebron wasn't egregious compared to what guys like Maurice Lucas, Bobby Jones, and Scott Wedman used to pull.
