26 points on 12-19 shooting, 16 boards (5 offensive), 4 assists, 3 blocks, 2 steals, a team high +15 and 0 turnovers...

If he can do that every night he would be MJ 5 inches taller...

Geez, he's still so overrated, huh?

Typical frontrunner...hate him and bash him, when he plays well you love him and then pull out the whole "if he did that all the time I'd love him" card. Thing is, for KG this kind of game is NOT the exception. Thus the hate is bogus.

^It can't die cos we need to keep shining light on the irrational KG-haters as to how dumb their argument is.

This thread is overrated.

...and by overrated I mean incredibly stupid and clearly attention seeking.

Boo all pot-stirrers and their needy egos. Boo I say.

I still feel he is overrated. He had a great game. I have no problem giving him props for that. For the record, just because I feel KG is overrated doesn't mean that I hate him or don't think he is not a good player.

He had a great game, plain and simple. And he was awful in the 2nd half of game 4 and was outplayed by Varajeo.

Why do you say that? Because I give him props for having a good game and get on him because he gets outplayed by Anderson Varajeo in another game.

Warning for name calling. canman

Canman, I guess calling someone bi-polar is not name calling? You must the like a ref that only saw the 2nd foul and not the first one.

Didn't you already throw in the towel during the Hawks series?

Yes. I threw in the towel on our chances of winning a championship after watching the Hawks series. However, I didn't throw in the towel against the Hawks.

And just because I don't think we have a good chance of winning a title this year because of our poor play doesn't mean my love for the Celtics is gone or not real. I want to clear that up before someone makes a stupid remark. I loved last years team as well, and that team had no chance of winning a championship.

There should be reactionary threads about how great he is after great games....

.... just to even things out.

LMAO @ this thread.

wow. talk about an agenda.

KG has been consistently our best player in the playoffs, and usually the best player on the court. He just put up 26 and 16 in our biggest game of the year.

But yeah, he's overrated.

I will admit - I thought KG was a touch overrated BEFORE he came here. But now watching him the whole year - he isn't. It's just that KGs DIFFERENT then what people expect.

1) Even though the is really tall - he isn't a low post monster. he can score some in the post but excels at the perimeter game for a big man - much like a european player.

2) Even though he is an MVP his forte isn't "taking games over" but providing a great option for a teams offense. You CAN take him away - but you will pay the price for it as he will set up players with great looks.

People hold both these factors against him and long for someone who will drive into traffic repeatedly and beg for fouls like Lebron. I don't. KG is ideal when paired up with a all-around player like PP.

It's been RA that's been disappointing me in the playoffs - not KG. The C's problems right now are with Powe (who has been off and on), Cassell (who has really underperformed) and Ray Allen.

So far it's been more KG and PP vs. Lebron then...the "big 3".. On the upside RA did have some great games in the regular season so maybe he can put something together..

I think PP and KG are doing about as well as expected - with Rondo overachieving...(at least to the eyes of many casual fans).

I love KG to death, he's my favorite player in the league by far, but really he should've learned to control himself during the game, to preserve energy for the right time. All this "intense" mocking is really stupid and completely unwaranted, but one thing is spot on, right now his emotions are hurting his game. By the time 4th quarter rolls up he's completely drained and Doc knows this too, that's why he tries to bench him for the start of the 4th quarter. But then he risks that KG will became "cold" for the end of the game, which already happened a couple of times. KG should deal with this himself, get on that "yoga" **** more or whatever.
