I think Mayo will be more impressive than people give him credit for, but I think Rose will be better. Mayo, IMO is the safer pick. But Mayo needs to be put at SG, not PG. His size is fine, he can work off the ball, and he's a very good defender.

I would say Rose is more athletic then all 3. He's stronger then all 3 and is quicker, faster. Lou Williams and Robinson look like they might have a higher vertical though.
Look at this video.. 10 seconds in and from about 1:45-1:50, 2:15-2:20

I never said he was a bad jump shooter. I said that he was streaky. And, I said he would be better than Mayo because he is going to improve his shot. In part, this is because of his ability to create space and also it has to do with his shooting form which doesn't need much work. My concern was moreso directed towards his NBA three point shooting ability.

You seem pretty knowledgeable about Rose. What numbers could you see him putting up in his prime?
I'd like Miami to take him if they are lucky enough to get the first pick, what numbers could you see him putting up in his rookie year?

Despite any knowledge I may have regarding his strengths and weaknesses, it is still very difficult to devise concrete prime and rookie numbers. It certainly depends on the situation he is thrown into. If he plays alongside Wade, I would think that he may struggle because they play very similar games. (in terms of slashing and dominating the ball, that is) I may give him 15 ppg 6apg in his rookie year. That would be an outstanding transition in my eyes, as it is much harder to adjust to the NBA from the guard position.
As for his prime: I believe that he could produce something in the vicinity of 25 ppg and 8 apg on a championship squad. I firmly believe that his scoring numbers may be sacrificed for his team's benefit.
With that said, this is all speculation. If I had to guess right now though, I would say he is poised for a memorable career.

While he has good vision, I see him as more of a one on one player who is able to score at pivotal points in the game. In this respect, I think that he will be more of a score first point guard despite my high predictions regarding assists. Your numbers could be accurate- fact is that it's very difficult to tell despite his production in the tournament. His decision making still needs some work. But, I have confidence that he will be a top 3 point guard in the league at some point in time.

On a team like Miami I could see him being a one on one guy, which I wouldn't be opposed to at all. I think to get the best out of Rose the Heat (again, if lucky enough) would need to add some shooters somewhere in the lineup. He's a player that can penetrate at will and kick out for open 3's.
As much as people say a Wade-Rose backcourt would be redundant, I just don't see it. Between the athleticism, versitility, and talent of those two, I couldn't see it going wrong.

I just have this nightmarish scenario in my head where where Derrick Rose dribble drives into a crowded paint area, kicks out to an open D-Wade at the the 3 point line, who puts the ball on the floor, drives into a crowded paint, kicks it back out to Rose, who puts it back on the floor and drives it to a crowded paint.
Kinda like a sick twisted basketball version of groundhog's day.
