Hahaha, hopefully Nash can teach him right.

Nash: "David, whatever you do, when Mike says shoot, don't shoot. Hold the ball as long as possible and do not move around."
Lee: "Ok boss, if you say so. When should I shoot"
Nash: "When the clock reads 0 and the red is around it"
Lee: "Sweet that will be easy to remember!"

In some ways, I think this is somewhat in poor taste by Nash.

How so? He's mentoring another player.

Just sends strange messages considering that our former head coach is now the Knicks head coach. That's why it comes off looking a little odd.

I expect him to have a restraining order on D'Antoni and any Knicks-affiliated personnel haha.

So here's a question for you guys. Not that this is going to happen but...

Who would be in favor of trading Nash to the Knicks for their # 5 pick (we pick Bayless) and a couple of pieces like Wilson Chandler or Balkman and say another 1st round pick?

Probably won't happen because Kerr and Sarver are being adamant about us being a legit contender as is with a couple more pieces like the # 15 pick and Vet minimum dudes..

This also might depend on who our next head coach is....

Nah, Nash is old/on the decline but he expires soon, and he's still a better player now than any rookie at 5 will be, even if they develop to their potential.

Don't trade Nash.

Especially so to the Knicks - he doesn't deserve that :D

Seriously though, if DA plays the right guys they could grab #8

Agree wholeheartedly. Unless he indicates that he wants out (privately or publicly), you honor the 2-time MVP. I feel he has earned the right to finish his contract here in Phoenix.

And no you don't f**king salary dump Steve Nash.

Nash will retire as a Suns. Period.

And I don't see any problem if he practices with Lee. Come on, don't be paranoid guys, all players during the offseason practice with players from other teams...and we already knew Nash spends his summer in the Big Apple. It doesn't send any bad or controversial messages.

Couldn't have said it better myself.

Nice mkot, nice.

Definitely second mkot's sentiment.

Do not salary-dump Nash, that would be stupid. It would irritate the fans, ruin your team and otherwise be horrendously idiotic.

I agree. Players do it all the time. Just because they are opponents doesn't mean they can't be friends in the offseason. Look at Diaw and Parker who work out together, or Bell and Bowen.

Yeah I don't think there's anything to it. Nash lives in New York in the offseason and so does Lee so I'm sure they run into each other every once in a while anyways. It's not like that one is travelling across the country to work with the other. They're probably no more than 5 or 6 blocks apart here.
