How good would have the rookies done in the East?

How many games could this team win and would have they made the playoffs in the East? Won in the first round?

C:Horford/Noah
F:Scola/Landry
F:Durant/Young
G:Afflalo/Moon
G:Stuckey/Navarro

Pretty poorly to be honest.

Durant didn't find his way until after the All-Star break, so there wouldn't have been a reliable scorer. Same with Scola....only flourished when starting. Scola/Landry would be a decent PF combination. Horford and Noah too would be above average for sure. Liking the front-court. No scoring in the back-court. Afflalo is a nice stopper, Moon has a nice skillset, Stuckey started slowly with a broken hand, and Navarro either comes off, or he doesn't.

30 wins, and I might be being too nice.

Not in the playoffs, sort of where Atlanta was the last 2-3 years . . . but give them another top draft choice and some maturity . . . .

Honestly, I see that team as worse than the 04-05 vintage Hawks who only won 13 games. At least that team had Walker and Harrington for over half the season. Plus Smith and Childress had fairly nice rookie years.

Its easy to look at a team of rookies and overate it based on their potential but that team would really struggle.

Hmm.

No reliable playmaker; no reliable first- or second-option scorer (at least until Durant figures things out, sort of the way he started to in the second half).

Good perimeter defense from Young, Afflalo and Moon. No real post scoring threat.

Decent rebounding and energy.

They'd struggle mightily, I'm going 20-25 wins with that squad.

It's a team at the same level as Wolves or Sonics, at the East they don't make the playoffs but finish with better record than Heat and Knicks.
