Anyone else just see the halftime bit with Russell talkin to KG? I'm so much more confident now that we will make it to the finals. Talk about someone who can motivate people.
Russell's even a better person than he was a basketball player...and thats saying somethin!

I saw that the other night and it made me pumped up. Russell ever told KG that he could have one of his rings, as long as he just kept on playing the way he has the previous 13 years, that made me more excited than anything else said in that interview. This includes the fact Russell said, KG and the celtics were going to win 2 or 3 championships. Russell think the celtics are going to win 2 or 3 why wouldn't you have faith in this team?

I don't know whether anyone else noticed this, but on Wednesday night, at about 7 minutes to go in the fourth, KG had the ball under the Cavs' basket and turned to give it to Rondo while everyone else from both teams ran up the floor. He put the ball in Rondo's hands, put his hands on Rajon's head and touched their foreheads together. It was quite moving, although very brief.
Seeing that, and then seeing this Bill Russell thing, I see KG as being a touchstone for communications among three different generations of gifted and crazy-hard-working, high energy Celtics.
It's incredibly cool to have all that in one week.
