RealGM's Player Playoff Rankings 4 in the top 25

(since this was a RealGM article I didn't limit the paragraphs)

Christopher Reina/RealGM -
With the help of my Floor Impact Counter, here are the top-30 performers of the playoffs through Thursday night's games.

* Player, Team: Total Playoff FIC (Per 40 minutes)

*****
There are playoff rankings for 200 players.

*****

5. Dwight Howard, ORL: 198 (18.8)

Howard's per game FIC score jumped from 13.7 last year to 19.8 during Orlando's 10-game run this season, a sizable jump in what has been a breakout season. With the exception of Game 2 and 3 against Detroit, he was far more effective against Toronto.

15. Rashard Lewis, ORL: 136 (13.0)

With the exception of his brilliant Game 3 performance (33 points on 11-15 shooting and 5-6 from three), he was rendered almost entirely useless as they leaned heavily on Hedo Turkoglu.

22. Hedo Turkoglu, ORL: 113 (11.3)

Turkoglu continued to turn the ball over with inexcusable frequency and was not nearly as effective as a scorer against Detroit as he was in the first series against the Raptors.

24. Jameer Nelson, ORL: 105 (12.6)

Even though he wasn't the best point guard on the floor until the final two games of the Detroit series, Nelson had a solid playoff run.

Is this not further evidence that Nelson is an NBA starter level of quality???

Geez I hope the "new PG" threads will die!

Yes, he's ranked 24th in playoff rankings, that should end all the new pg threads.

Nelson played well on offense, but got destroyed on defense as expected(but not expected to be from a rookie pg).

Here are the PGs in the top 100 (I may have missed some) Ranked by the FIC40

- FIC: The Floor Impact Counter (FIC) used here is modified by RealGM's Christopher Reina to give more value to assists and blocks, differentiate between offensive and defensive rebounds (offensive being more valuable) and slightly reduces the value of missed field goals and free throws.

- FIC40: The Floor Impact Counter (FIC) adjusted over 40 minutes.

CP - 1
Deron - 6
T Parker - 11
Rondo - 14
Billups - 28
D West - 31
D Fisher - 32
Nash - 51
Stuckey - 59
TJ - 70
AI - 72
AMiller - 85
Bibby - 87
Alston - 94

god bless chris reina.

in one fell swoop, his FIC statistic has effectively refuted the critics of nelson's defense and playmaking.

oh, wait...
