Referees for Game 7....

Post#1 » by bigal534 » Sat May 17, 2008 3:05 pm

Is here anyway to see who the officials will be for game 7? My friend researched some info for me and said if Bavetta, j crawford, eddie f rush, b salvatore or bob delaney(the big 5) has our game, look out for the fix...anyone know how we can tell?

Hopefully it's not "Violet The Dyke".

Bavetta will be there, hopefully.

Seemed like every call that went our way (the right way) was a Bavetta call.

Are you guys really serious about this fix BS? If there was a fix, why wouldn't it benefit us? WE ARE THE ONES NBA WANTS TO SEE IN THE FINALS!!! Everyone wants to see Lakers/Celtics finals and it'll bring in a ton of revenue to the NBA and David Stern will get a nice chunk of that.

You guys are so pathetic.

If the Celtics want to get to the free-throw line they have to do something like what Cleveland is doing... what do they call it? Oh yeah, attacking the rim!

Who does the Commish want in the finals?

A. The Golden Child(LeBron) who gets preferential treatment
B. The historically Golden Team(Celtics) who is used to getting preferential treatment

No, what is pathetic is that you continue to turn the other cheek, rather than realizing of all professional sports, the NBA is far and away the easiest sport to manipulate an outcome.

What makes you think the NBA wants Lakers/Celtics? If im not mistaken, in the 2002 Eastern conference finals it was the Boston Celtics vs the NJ nets, right? In the West it happened to be the Sacramento Kings and you guessed it, LA Lakers. Needless to say being within 2 wins, we did not gbo to the finals that year.

All I am saying is yes the referees make bad calls, but it goes both ways. Depending on who the outcome favors is really all this boils down to.

PS: go to basketball-reference.com and take a look at the past 15 years of NBA playoff matchups. Look at one key stat: FT's attempted and fouls called. 95% of the time the team with more free throws attemped wins the series/and or finals (More specifically look at 2006 with Miami vs. Dallas { Dallas is up 2-nil and then looses 4 staright and wade out shoots the entire Mavericks team in those games)

Lastly, it would not surprise me if we win, lose, blow them out, they blow us out. Fact of the matter is, anything can happen in the NBA

Care to clarify this one? If anything, the Celtics have gotten the opposite vis a vis Reggie Lewis and Len Bias. I'm genuinely interested in how anyone can have your opinion. Examples?

if a fix really even out of the question?

its not like an nba ref hasnt been caught doing anything illegal in regards to the outcome of games or anything.

What's up with Mauer anyhow? Why such a Celtic hater?
I say LeFlop James will get 20+ FT's today.

last game 7 (vs ATL) we had D Crawford, Mauer and Salvatore. This one they replaced D Crawford with one of the Big 5, Eddie F Rush, a historically terrible officla for the Celtics...I dont like our chances anymore...can we win? Most definetely but i think were gonn have to blow them out in this one.
