I knew we were going to win this one... I told my wife before the game we'd win by 20... I N-E-V-E-R predict wins either... Too superstitious. But I just had a feeling about this one.

I didn't think it was even going to be close...

I knew Kobe wanted to send a message to Utah, it's fans and the league that there ain't nowhere the Lakers can't win. I knew Kobe would get in Pau's head and Pau'd have his best game of the series. I knew Machine would take 1 for 11 personal and come out killin'. I knew Lamar would keep it up...

I was wrong about Farmar and Walton though, I thought they'd be huge for us too...

Props to Radman for this one. I think his stops, rebounds, points and assists were Key for us.

Great win. I can't wait for the WCF!!!!

The Jazz deserve a ton of credit for their late comeback. Most teams would have completely folded, but they made it interesting when all hope seemed lost.

Best of luck to them next season, and I'm positive they will be among the best for years to come. They have a great young core, and a few pieces is all that's needed. If they can overcome their road woes... look out... they will be tough as hell to beat.

I love the fact that Kobe was more hands-on this game w/ his killer instinct and leadership. (that's what I'm talking about, man!)

The Jazz aren't a team we can sleep on.. I could tell you stories on how they broke the Lakers (and the Lakers' fans') hearts b/c of LA's inexperience & immaturity (before 1999).

I'm glad this series is over and done. Buried. Eliminated. (I think I'm going to sleep much better... at least until this Monday)

It's good to see the Lakers advance to the Conference Finals, and it's great to know that the Lakers are evolving into a championship team.

Although there's still work to be done, I've developed more faith in the team and continued faith in my favorite player.

This team is much improved.

And I remember people saying "fisher is too old, he can't play defense anymore."

^D-Fish surely delivered a huge series for the Lakers.

Not taking anything away from Derek, but...

These road games weren't really road games if you consider that the man has been playing for the Jazz the last 1-2* years.

Add to the fact that he knows their offense, and their star player's habits, it's not too hard to figure out why he was successful.

He has played some of the best ball in his life, by consistently making big plays happen w/ his defense and efficient offense.

Great show, D-Fish.

I would hope that us Laker fans can extend some class to those Jazz fans who come here wishing us the best and giving us our due.

Those who tell them to gtfo will be warned.

WOOHOO!!

Great game. I loved the killer instinct this team showed. Closing out on the road against Utah..........damn, that's sweet.

The lakers are now 2-0 in games to close teams out........both of those on the road.

Half way there

J.A. Adande

What it means for everyone else is that Bryant, the most dangerous player in the playoffs is back haunting the rest of the league in May. It took some additions to the cast, but now it rivals the "Nightmare on Elm Street" franchise, with Freddy Krueger joined by Jason Voorhees.

We're really coming together as a team. Something's got to be done about our perimeter defense though.
