I don't know if the Cavs have enough offensive ability against the Celtics to win, maybe they will somehow and their defense gets them over the hump, but I'm doubting that... it should go longer than 5 games, though, and fun and interesting to watch.
Ilgauskas I think plays well against Perkins with his size and craftiness (not sure if that's a word
), so aside from LeBron, he's going to have to play well, and should.

Well I can see the Cavs taking one in Boston, and I think we all knew that as nice as forcing a Game 7 was, the Hawks weren't ever much of a chance.
You never know how the Celtics will react to their series vs ATL. Is it a wake up call for them, or a sign of things to come? I don't buy Rivers as a championship coach, never have.

I'll root for the Jazz or Hornets, in the case we are out... I'll see which one by WCF
But it'll be better with no real bias, so I can fully enjoy and appreciate the games no matter the end result. As well as keep them if they're high-level games. Like, if a game was really good generally, but was a bad/bad enough of an ultimate result for the team I was supporting, I usually don't truly enjoy the game for what it was, and not keep it in my collection. There are exceptions, though.
But it'll be better with no real bias, so I can fully enjoy and appreciate the games no matter the end result. As well as keep them if they're high-level games. Like, if a game was really good generally, but was a bad/bad enough of an ultimate result for the team I was supporting, I usually don't truly enjoy the game for what it was, and not keep it in my collection. Yeah, I know what you're saying. Sometimes it's good to watch games that you aren't emotionally invested in - although, generally when we've been knocked out of the playoffs I lose all interest.
Like the '06 Finals - I watched the games if there was nothing better to do. I didn't care who won, and the games I did catch I didn't think too much of. Ppl call us boring, but I thought those Finals were horrible.
But I will say, if NO and LA are in the West finals, and Celts-Pistons make the East finals, I'll probably make time to watch all the games.
Like the '06 Finals - I watched the games if there was nothing better to do. I didn't care who won, and the games I did catch I didn't think too much of. Ppl call us boring, but I thought those Finals were horrible.
But I will say, if NO and LA are in the West finals, and Celts-Pistons make the East finals, I'll probably make time to watch all the games.

In 06 I soon found myself going for Miami, because of Wade, Posey, Haslem, Payton, Zo, really being into all those guys, and how they played as a team. Aside from playing Dallas . With like, all the people picking Dallas because they were more talented and flashy.
I was quite happy for them that they won. They kind of slowly built themselves up from November with various things going, utlimately being doubted, but showing people wrong as the playoffs went on (including myself pre-playoffs). Upping their defensive level of play was most impressive, compared to how they were in the regular season. I couldn't help but enjoy their run.

Celtics shut LBJ down - didn't let LeBron get into a rhythm and made him take tough shots
It was more of the Celtics defensive energy and focus on LeBron tonight, than it was LeBron himself.
Going to be tough for Cleveland to score consistently, because they're such a limited, ordinary offensive team. Along with Boston's defense on top of that. But Cleveland will stay in the games because of their defense. LeBron's going to have play terrific for Cleveland to win this series (like against Detroit last year).

High-level game, too - easily one of the best of the playoffs so far
Hamilton, Prince, Rasheed, McDyess all were big-time in their ways
Hedo as king-sized as he was in that 4th qtr, went like 3 seconds too late on that last drive... still got a decent enough shot off, though.

They played really well as a team again, especially defensively. They were just tremendous there.
Shows again, with a good defense (and some semblance of offense), you have a solid chance to win.
Boston's road play is a definite big-time issue - and if they advance, which I don't know about anymore, I'm doubting they'll be able to turn it around enough. Aside from already having match-up problems with Detroit.
And again, Boston's significance of reliance on jumpshots shows up (like on the road against Atlanta)... they always were a team that relied a lot on jumpers, but it wasn't as evident in a negative fashion in the regular season.
With the Cavs playing competitive in Game 1, and with these two wins, Cleveland now may well be able to play well enough as a team on the road. Being in more of a rhythm against Boston, and having already played in Boston twice.
I think Cleveland will have a good mental approach for Game 5, combined with Boston's home situation, that will be anybody's game.

Unless the cetlics can figure out how win outside of Boston they are done, I'm liking the cavs team, may not have the offense but Boston does and Cleveland are cramming it back down their throat and going blow for blow on defence. Gotta love that!

Great comeback by the Jazz, shame they lost in the end. I thought D-Will's shot was going to go in. Oh well. I was hoping the Jazz would win the series, I like their team.
Cle forces a game 7! Questionable call on the PP "charge" at the end though. I'd like the Cavs to win up in Boston but I don't like their chances. Who would've thought a team that went 66-16 in the regular season wouls struggle so much in the playoffs?

God, what an absolutely awful loss for Utah
I was rooting for them to tie it on all those shots.
I would really be down for a little while if I was a Jazz fan....
Very good effort by Utah, but not quite enough in the end. Really should of played better as a whole before the 4th qtr, though.
Lakers got lucky with none of those shots going in, and almost blew a comfartable, sizeable lead. But a win is a win for them, good stuff.

Just watched Cetlics/Cavs G7 on tape (without knowing anything)
Very, very good game - had almost everything you can ask for
LBJ/Pierce duel was just a blast all game long - both played at a high-level
LBJ's mistake on that jump-ball with Pierce was pretty key, great hustle by Pierce
PJ Brown stepped up big-time, showing he can still play a significant role on a team. Doing the kind of stuff he's done over his career. And, not that surprising considering how he played with Chicago last season.
I knew Big Baby would be a different player in the playoffs (not relating to today, but other games)...
Eddie House while he didn't do much offensively, his energy and his defense was excellent. He's improved defensively playing on the Celtics in general, too. I didn't know when they signed him, how well he would do defensively, but has been effective from what I've seen. Even with Cassell, I'm surprised House hasn't played much before these last two games, in the post-season. I think Cassell's actually played some too much.
KG wasn't huge, but his presence was there for sure, especially defensively - solid game by him.
Rondo played pretty well, nice little all-around game

Offensively, Cleveland has to get more versatile... they're a limited, ordinary offensive team. They have had and do have all the role-players already... but one piece is still missing.
They need to get LBJ a legitimate side-kick. And in part to doing that, LeBron has to play off the ball more, so that can also allow for that 2nd guy to play as more than basically just a shooter, cutter, and ball-mover. The role-players are already there to do that. So aside from doing the aformentioned, the #2 option-guy can create for himself and others. It shouldn't and can't just be others playing off of LeBron (for the most part). Firstly, that's relying and asking of too much on one guy, and secondly, in the case of having a good #2 man, that role restricts what that player is able to do. Things have to be easier on LeBron, and he can't be so ball dominant in that way.
